Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Find the Fifth Sage Walkthrough

Find the Fifth Sage is a Main Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). This walkthrough will guide you to the Fifth Sage Location in Zelda TotK and where to find the Ruins from the Age of Legends.

Requirement: Having Finished Phantom Ganon Boss in Main Quest: Crisis at Hyrule Castle and returned to Purah
Reward: None
Quest Info: During an ancient Imprisoning War, it was Princess Zelda and the five other sages who fought with King Rauru against the Demon King. Purah told you that in order to find the fifth sage, you should investigate ruins from the age of legends. The sages have their own regions covered, leaving you to search elsewhere.

Objectives:

Go to Ruins from the Age of Legends
Finish Main Quest: Secret of the Ring Ruins
Finish Main Quest: Guidance from Ages Past
Return to Purah in Lookout Landing

Starting Location: Find the Fifth Sage

This quest automatically triggers during Main Quest: Crisis at Hyrule Castle. After defeating the Phantom Ganon Boss in Hyrule Castle, return to Purah and the other 4 Sages in Lookout Landing. They will send you to locate the Fifth Sage, which starts this new main quest.

The Quest “Find the Fifth Sage” is another multi-quest spanning adventure but it doesn’t have any content of its own. Instead, you must go look for the Ruins from the Age of Legends, which are the Flying Ring Ruins in the north of Kakariko Village (Necluda region). Going there starts the questline Secret of the Ring Ruins > Guidance from Ages Past. You will automatically find the 5th sage as part of the second quest, then “Find the Fifth Sage” autocomplete as part of this questline.

Go to Ruins from the Age of Legends

The “Ruins from the Age of Legends” are the Flying Ring Ruins in the north of Kakariko Village (Necluda region). There, talk to Tauro & Paya who will have a red quest icon above their heads.

They will give you a new Main Quest Secret of the Ring Ruins. Do this quest now!

Finish Main Quest: Secret of the Ring Ruins

Follow Secret of the Ring Ruins Walkthrough. This is mandatory to get the hint for the 5th Sage Location. It will automatically trigger the next main quest Guidance from Ages Past which you must also do.

Finish Main Quest: Guidance from Ages Past

After finishing the previous quest, follow Guidance from Ages Past Walkthrough. This is mandatory and you find the Fifth Sage as part of this quest automatically.

Return to Purah in Lookout Landing

After finishing both quests you will have found the Fifth Sage, Mineru. You still have to return to Purah in Lookout Landing to hand in the quest. Doing so will complete Find the Fifth Sage & Crisis at Hyrule Castle.
