Are you wondering how long is Death Stranding 2: On the Beach? Depending on chosen difficulty and playstyle it can vary a lot.
Death Stranding 2 story took me 50 hours to beat on Normal difficulty while connecting all optional facilities and watching all cutscenes.
The 50 hours is for a mainly story-focused playthrough on Normal (Medium) difficulty and connecting the optional facilities along the way. It includes watching the cutscenes. After this there was 20 – 30 hours of side content remaining to reach maximum connection level with all facilities. On the easiest difficulty (Story difficulty) if skipping cutscenes and ignoring all side content it can be done in 40 hours or less.
Death Stranding 2 Story Length Estimates:
- 40 Hours on Story Difficulty if ignoring side content.
- 50 Hours on Normal Difficulty if doing moderate amount of side content (applicable to most players).
- 70 Hours if going for 100% Completion during the story.
100% Completion / Platinum Trophy / 1000 Gamerscore:
- Platinum Trophy / 1000 Gamerscore: 70-100 hours – 70 hours if being optimized with leveling optional facilities and up to 100 hours if playing less optimized. Around 50 hours of that goes into the story and 20 hours for cleanup after story to finish maxing out the connection level with all facilities.
The story consists of 16 Episodes, after which there is still free-roam and you can clean up anything you have left. There are also 42 facilities, with the cleanup consisting of reaching maximum connection (Level 5) with each facility.
