Blacksmith’s Blues II is a Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Blacksmith’s Blues II side mission.
- Starting Location: The Hideaway, read the ‘About Blackthorne’ letter via the Reading Table in Clive’s Chambers.

- Requirement: Unlocks during the Main Quest ‘Out of the Shadow‘ after talking with Mid upon completing the ‘Letting Off Steam III‘ Main Quest. Must also have completed Side Quest: Blacksmith’s Blues I.
- Reward: 900 XP, 30 Renown, Curiosity: Excalibur Design Draft, 1 Meteorite
- Quest Info: Clive receives a letter from August asking him to help cheer Blackthorne up again. What could be the matter with him this time?

- Speak with Charon
- Find Ignac in Dalimil
- Retrieve Ignac’s stolen items from the bandits
- Deliver the sundered whetstone to Blackthorne
Starting Location: Blacksmith’s Blues II
Speak with Blackthorne
After reading the ‘About Blackthorne’ letter in Clive’s Chambers, accept the quest and find Blackthorne close to Clive’s Chambers.
Speak with Charon
Speak to Charon, who is next to Blackthorne.
Find Ignac in Dalimil
Fast travel to Dalimil Inn and speak to Ignac in the Final Sting tavern. He’s upstairs and a cutscene will play when you approach his room.
Retrieve Ignac’s stolen items from the bandits
The bandits can be found in the north-east corner of the Velkroy Desert. Kill them all and you will automatically return to Dalimil Inn.
Deliver the sundered whetstone to Blackthorne
Return to Blackthorne at the Hideaway to complete this quest.
This finishes Blacksmith’s Blues II Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI).
