Ghost of Yotei The Heart of an Ainu Walkthrough

The Heart of an Ainu is a side tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Heart of an Ainu side quest.

• Requirement: Finished Prologue and visited Nayaro Wilds region for the first time (talk to woman at Central Ferry in north of Tokachi Range to reach the region)
• Reward: Robes for Sitturaynu (Armor)
• Quest Info: Huci invited me to trade at Husko Kotan, northwest of the Nothern Ferry. Could be useful.

Starting Location: The Heart of an Ainu

This tale is given to you automatically upon entering Nayaro Wilds region, which you can do at any point after reaching the open world. In the north of Tokachi Range > Great Lake > Central Ferry, talk to the female NPC to use the boat across the lake. This brings you to Nayaro Wilds and you start the tale there by talking to huci.

Meet huci on the hill past Nayoro Falls

After you talked to her follow her to the nearby waterfalls and talk to her again.

Now follow her to meet kaeka.

Follow huci and kaeka

Follow them after a conversation into a small village.

Speak with kaeka’s husband

After another conversation, talk to kaeka’s husband near the river.

Look for clues inside kaeka’s home

After talking to her husband and talking to huci again, you will be in kaeka’s home, here interact with a wooden block near the window and in the corner.

Speak with kaeka

Now talk to kaeka outside her house.

Follow huci

After talking to kaeka follow huci on the nearby path, then you will see a rocky slope where you can slide down, and talk to huci again.

Follow the trail of bark strips

All you have to do here is follow huci. You will soon find a dead horse, and a small cutscene starts.

After that, you will split up. Follow the given path.

You will then reach a dead end. Here, jump to the other side and climb up.

After climbing up to the next platform, walk over the wooden beam.

Here get to the other side by jumping over the branches. On the other side, you will see an opening to the left. Go through it, and another small cutscene starts.

Catch up to huci

After the cutscene, climb up the hill and slide down another slope in front to find huci and to trigger another cutscene.

Follow huci back home.

Now go around the corner of the house and talk to kaeka.

This finishes The Heart of an Ainu in Ghost of Yotei.
