God of War Ragnarok All Shield Attachments (Ronds)

They can be attached to any of the Shields. More than that, they also add unique passive perks that can change the flow of combat. Each Rond visually changes the front design of your Shield. Knowing what shield ronds are in the game and what abilities they unlock can help you prepare and strategize for challenging encounters.

Shield attachments are obtained from quests, from certain chests, bosses, and crafting. You can upgrade the Shield Attachments to increase their stats further. You get all attachments automatically while going for 100% Completion.

Shield Attachments

Rönd of Expedition – Improves Defense, Cooldown & Riposte Refresh: Grants a Blessing of Cooldown when interrupting double Blue ring attacks (Double Tap ) or parrying (Dropped by Alva story boss in Main Mission 04: Groa’s Secret)
Rönd of Obliteration – Improves Strength, Defense & Shards of the Valkyrie: Hold for several seconds to charge the shield, then press + to fire a volley of Valkyrie shards at enemies (Reward from Favor: Defend Your Valour)
Rönd of Disruption – Improves Defense, Runic, Luck & Elemental Storm: Low Luck chance to create an Elemental Storm when interrupting double Blue ring attacks (Double Tap ) or Parrying (Reward from Favor: A Stag for All Seasons)
Rönd of the Nine Realms – Improves Defense, Luck & Riposte Realm Shift: Low Luck chance to trigger a Realm Shift, temporarily slowing down surrounding enemies when parrying (From Favor: For Vanaheim!)
Rönd of Absorption – Improves Defense, Runic & Defender’s Momentum: The Permafrost, Immolation, and Maelstrom skill gauges increase when Blocking or Parrying
Rönd of Fortification – Improves Defense & Fortification: Holding for several seconds will trigger a high Stun explosion on the next successful Block or Double Tap attack
Rönd of Deflection – Improves Defense & Agile Deflection: Increases the timing window on Parries
Rönd of Purification – Improves Strength, Defense & Contagion Discharge: When Kratos is afflicted with Frost, Burn, Poison, or Birfrost, Shield Strike (Double Tap ) hits will cleanse the status and deal that element’s damage to enemies (From a Legendary Chest in Midgard – Well of Urd)
Rönd of Affliction – Improves Defense, Runic, Cooldown & Strike of Affliction: Shield Strikes (Double Tap ) against Status-Afflicted enemies consume the ailment, causing a damaging elemental explosion. (From a Legendary Chest in Alfheim – The Barrens)
Rönd of Restoration – Improves Defense, Vitality & Restoring Shield: On taking damage, Kratos has a Luck chance to gain Defense and for his next Shield Strike (Double Tap ) hit to restore Health. The chance increases with lower health. (From a Legendary Chest in Vanaheim – The Abandoned Village)
Rönd of Volition – Improves Defense – no special ability
Rönd of Aggravation – Improves Defense, Vitality, Luck & Riposte Rage Burst: High Luck chance to grant a Rage Burst when Parrying (From a Legendary Chest in Svartalfheim – Lyngbakr Island)
