God of War Ragnarok contains 14 Relic Locations, also called Sword Hilts. Finding all Relics and Hilts unlocks the Collector trophy. Relics and Hilts are the same thing, the game just calls them differently.
It’s recommended that you first follow the God of War Ragnarok Collectible Locations Guide for 100% Completion. You will get all Relics automatically from that. If you overlooked one during your hunt for 100% completion, refer to the list below. You need the Lost Pages (Lore Scrolls) to unlock some of them for crafting as well as unique materials dropped by specific enemies, if you got 100% completion you would have gotten all of these automatically. None of the Relics are missable, you can still get all of them after the story in free roam. If you didn’t pick up one that was dropped by an enemy, it will automatically be placed in the blue chest at the blacksmith. You can pick it up from there at any time, so nothing is missable.
You can check which ones you found under Weapons > Relics. You can use them in battle by pressing L1 + Circle Button. Each Relic gives you a powerful attack but they have a long cooldown. Only one Relic can be equipped at a time. This guide lists them in the same order as the in-game menu so that you can easily compare them against your list after reaching 100% completion.
For the unique crafting materials you can check under Codex > Resources > Unique Resources that you got them. But remember for the craftable ones you also need the Lost Pages lore collectibles, otherwise they won’t show up for crafting at the blacksmith.
All Relics & Sword Hilts
Relic #6: Huldra Project #9
Crafted at any Blacksmith Shop, under Special Items > Relics. Costs 10,000 Hacksilver.
Relic #7: Mystical Heirloom
Found in Midgard, Lake of Nine region. It’s behind a destructible ice wall, must throw the spear at it. Then the Relic is on the ground next to a Lore Scroll and a frozen corpse.
Relic #8: Hilt of Forsbrandr
You must find all 48 Odin’s Ravens to open the 6 Legendary Chests at Niflheim, The Raven Tree. After opening all 6 chests a boss spawns, called “The Raven Keeper”. Follow it down the hill and turn right, into the arena. Defeat this boss, it drops the Relic.
Relic #9: Hilt of Tyrfing
Crafted with Nar’s Cup (Dropped by “Blatonn” miniboss in The Abandoned Village, marked by red icon on the map). Also requires the Lost Pages to make it available in the blacksmith shop.
Relic #10: Talisman of Meign
Automatic story reward, must pick it up during Main Mission 02: The Quest for Tyr to advance. It’s the first Relic/Hilt you will get.
Relic #11: Hilt of Gram
From a Legendary Chest in Alfheim, Temple of Light.
Relic #12: Hilt of Hrotti
Dropped from the second of three Oath Guard minibosses you kill in Vanaheim, The Plains. There are 3 of these minibosses in the region, they are armored knights on optional side paths. It doesn’t matter which two you kill. The second one you defeat always drops this Relic.
Relic #13: Motsognir’s Call
Picked up in Niflheim, Aesir Prison Wreckage. To the left of the Legendary Chest in this region, on the top floor of the prison. It’s not tracked in the region overview for 100% completion so can be easy to overlook it, but you can go back any time to grab it. The region is only available after the story, via a new path that opens up to the left of The Raven Tree in Niflheim.
That’s all 14 Relics (Hilts) in God of War Ragnarok. After getting the last one you will earn the Collector trophy.
