No Man’s Sky How to Get Plutonium

Plutonium is an Isotope element, commodity and crafting material in No Man’s Sky. It is used to craft Electron Vapour and to power your starship. It is one of the most useful and most needed resources in the game. I recommend that you never sell it as it’s much more useful for crafting and recharging the launch thrusters.

Locations:

• On planets it can be mined from red crystals. You can see them easily when flying close to the ground with your starship.
• The crystals tend to show up more often near alien facilities & outposts (any buildings that have a launch pad near them). Also common in caves.
• Also found in containers in alien buildings and in the backroom of space stations (requires Atlas Pass V3).
