Iron is an oxide resource, commodity and crafting material in No Man’s Sky. It is also used to upgrade the inventory of your exosuit.
The shielding of your starship and suit are also powered by oxides and can be recharged with iron.

Locations:
- Found by mining most rocks and stones on planets. They are literally everywhere you look, one of the most common resources in the game.
- From shooting asteroids in space
- Sometimes from destroying enemy ships or cargo ships.
