Pangzhen is the 4th region in Phantom Blade Zero and contains 159 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in Pangzhen Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Anything that is missable will be marked with a warning, everything else can be collected after the story in free-roam.
Note that this region is effectively two regions stacked together but the map progress tracker counts them as one. The southern part of Pangzhen is the 4th area you visit in the story. The northern part is actually the 8th region called “Mirage Estate“, which is counted toward the Pangzhen map progress, but entries in the Archive are counted separately in the Mirage Estate section. Mirage Estate is covered later in its own page as the 8th region when you get there.

Collectibles Overview:
First Visit
#1 – Bell (Hidden Storehouse)
Unlocks automatically.
#2 – Bell (Abandoned Wine Cellar)
From the Hidden Storehouse Bell, continue through the building until you exit outside and it’ll be directly ahead.
#3 – Blackstone Fragment
From the Abandoned Wine Cellar Bell, keep following the main path until you’re on the opposite side of the locked door and it’ll be directly ahead.
#4 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From the previous collectible, continue forward onto the rooftops and you’ll see the chest on a small platform on the left.
#5 – Bell (South Gate Bridge)
From the previous collectible, continue across the rooftops until you drop through a hole in the roof. Once you exit onto the street it’ll be directly ahead.
#6 – Flameward (Accessory)
From the South Gate Bridge Bell, go into the open area and go up the stairs onto a small balcony on the right where the chest is.
#7 – Fire Meteor (Phantom Edge)
Reward for defeating Blaze, Shadow Warden Captain. Story-related.
Key Item – Crimson Flesh Lily
After defeating Blaze, Shadow Warden Captain, it’ll be directly ahead of you.
#8 – Bell (Jingyang Hall)
From where you fought Blaze, Shadow Warden Captain, head to the shrine on the left and it’ll be by the entrance.
#9 – Bell (Marketplace)
From the Jingyang Hall Bell, climb up the building and continue on the main path until you go up a giant flight of stairs. It’ll be directly ahead.
#10 – Memory Flower
From the Marketplace Bell, it’ll be in the building directly ahead.
#11 – Blackstone Fragment
In the same building as the previous collectible, go to the top floor and drop through the hole near the stairs to reach the balcony.
#12 – Bell (Huang Manor Crossroads)
From the Marketplace Bell, continue up the stairs and it’ll be at the top.
#13 – Memory Flower
From the Huang Manor Crossroads Bell, straight ahead on the road.
#14 – Bell (Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads)
From the Huang Manor Crossroads Bell, go up the stairs on the right and you’ll see the bell ahead by another flight of stairs.
Key Item – Lan Manor Key
From the Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads Bell, go across the street and as long as you informed Young Master Lan about opening the tunnel in the Village of Lu, he’ll automatically give you the key once you’re close.
#15 – Crimson Resolve (Accessory)
After getting the Lan Manor Key, rest at any bell then return to where you talked to Young Master Lan. After the dialogue, enter the manor.
Key Item – Pavilion of Knowledge Rooftop Key
From the Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads Bell, enter the giant building on the right and defeat all the enemies while climbing the tower.
#16 – Blood Oath Dagger (Tempering Material)
From the previous item, unlock the door nearby with the key you just found and as long as you collected all the books required for the Four Fierce Axes tale, you can get the reward by talking to the Child of Insight.
#17 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From the Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads Bell, go up the stairs and through the alleyways. Go onto the balcony of the building on the right and follow it to the chest at the end.
#18 – Armybreaker (Weapon)
Reward for defeating Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden. Story-related.
#19 – Memory Flower
From the arena where you fought Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden, go up the stairs on the right and it’ll be at the top.
#20 – Blackstone Fragment
From the arena where you fought Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden, enter the small courtyard on the left and follow the alleyway to the chest.
#21 – The Sword and the Way (Tales)
From the arena where you fought Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden, enter the building and make your way down to the tavern. Talk to Daoist Bi Di in front of the water.
#22 – Bell (Myst’s Tavern)
From where you meet Myst, in the hallway on the right.
#23 – The Undying Heroic Spirit (Tales)
From the Myst’s Tavern bell, head into the large room and speak with the Purple-Robed “Wolf” Leader.
Key Item – Huang Manor Key
In Myst’s Tavern, talk to Shopkeeper Niu.
#24 – The Star Performer (Tales)
In Myst’s Tavern, talk to the Leading Opera Actress.
#25 – The Cube (Tales)
In Myst’s Tavern, talk to the Fisherman.
The Star Performer Objective 1
From the Myst’s Tavern Bell, exit back to where you fought Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden and head into the alleyway on right. Interact with the incense and use the Leading Actress’s Rogue, then defeat the enemies to get the Tianxiang Pavilion Key.
#26 – Tiger Paperweight (Treasure)
Unlock the nearby Tianxiang Pavilion with the key you just got, then head up to the second floor and it’ll be in a chest in the back room.
#27 – Dancer’s Ribbon (Tempering Material)
From the previous collectible, go to the 3rd floor and it’ll be in a small room on the left.
Key Item – Tattered Dance Fan
From the previous collectible, interact with the dancer and she’ll drop the item.
Key Item – Medicine Pot Fragment: Chain
From the Huang Manor Crossroads Bell, unlock the door into Huang Manor and head into the room with the mumbling puppet. It’ll be on the ground.

From the previous item, go to the stairs, then enter the hallway on the right.
Key Item – Medicine Pot Fragment: Body
From the previous item, go up stairs and it’ll be on the dresser.
#28 – Manor Medicine Pot (Accessory)
From the previous item, head into the bedroom and you’ll find the Medicine Pot Fragment: Lid on a corpse on the stairs. If you’ve collected all 4 pieces, it will turn into the accessory.

In the same room as the previous collectible.
#31 – Dance Fan (Accessory)
After obtaining the Tattered Dance Fan, return to the Leading Opera Actress in Myst’s Tavern.
#32 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From Myst’s Tavern, exit the area onto the rooftops and follow the left roof. You’ll eventually see a hole in one of the roofs that you can drop into. Turn around and it’ll be in a chest in the building.
#33 – Bell (South Town Pond)
From the previous collectible, drop down to the ground and take the left path the the pond area.
#34 – Bell (Backstreet Archway)
From the South Town Pond Bell, go back up the stairs and follow the streets across the bridge. Once across, it’ll be directly ahead.
#35 – Wolfjaw (Phantom Edge)
Reward for defeating Wu Xuan, The Fallen General. Story-related.
#36 – Ink Stick (Treasure)
From the arena where you fought Wu Xuan, The Fallen General, go forward and walk through the small door ahead. Go up the stairs and you’ll see a chest in a small building.
#37 – Bell (Zhang’s Hideout (Pangzhen))
From the arena where you fought Wu Xuan, The Fallen General, go into the building on the right and exit out the back. You’ll see another building you can enter ahead with the bell.
#38 – Quick Hand’s Manual (Tempering Material)
From the Zhang’s Hideout (Pangzhen) Bell, drop down the hole and talk to Quick Hand Zhang. Access his shop and you can buy it for 9920.
#39 – Bell (Backstreet Rest)
From the previous collectible, exit back outside and go up the giant staircase. It’ll be at the top.
#40 – Blackstone Fragment
From the Backstreet Rest Bell, defeat the enemies directly ahead and they’ll drop it.
#41 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From the Backstreet Rest bell, go up the stone stairs and follow the alleyway until you can climb up a wall on the left to enter the broken buildings. Keep following the path and you’ll see it on an altar.
#42 – Blackstone Fragment
From the previous collectible, exit the building and into the alleyway. Defeat the enemies in the alleyway and they’ll drop the item.
#43 – Congeal Talisman (Accessory)
From the previous collectible, at the end of the alleyway.
#44 – Bell (Narrow Alley Residence 2nd Floor)
From the previous collectible, go back up the wooden stairs on the left and through the houses.
#45 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From the Narrow Alley Residence 2nd Floor Bell, drop down and take the zipline. It’ll be in a chest directly ahead.
#46 – Carved-Edge Inkstone (Treasure)
From the previous collectible, go up the small stairs and it’ll be in the building.
#47 – Memory Flower
Directly beside the previous collectible.
#48 – Bell (Pond of Fading Song)
From the previous collectible, exit back onto the street and follow it towards the singing.
Key Item – Fanatic’s Fragment: Fixation
Reward for defeating Gu Wanyue, The Wailing Wraith. Story-related.
#49 – Memory Flower
From the arena where you fought Gu Wanyue, The Wailing Wraith, drop down the well and it’ll be at the bottom.
#50 – Memory Flower / Key Item – Mandate Encampment Outer Gate Key
From the previous collectible, go through the well and both will be ahead by a coffin.
#51 – Bell (Well of Wei Sanchuan)
From the previous collectible, keep following the cave and it’ll be by a set of stairs.
#52 – Everflow (Medicine)
Reward for defeating Xie Qiudong, The Divine Healer. Story-related.
#53 – Bell (Green Serpent House)
From the arena where you fought Xie Qiudong, The Divine Healer, progress through the area until you see the green building and the bell will be directly in front of it.
#54 – Green Serpent Brew (Medicine)
From the Green Serpent House Bell, enter the building and talk to Xie Huichun.
Key Item – Serpent Gall: Green
In the same building, go upstairs and it’ll be in a small room.
#55 – Memory Flower
From the previous item, jump out the window and it’ll be directly ahead.
#56 – Memory Flower
From the Green Serpent House Bell, turn around and grapple onto the roof and climb the ladder. It’ll be directly ahead.
#57 – Blackstone Fragment
From the previous collectible, enter the cave and follow the path to the end. Once you exit the cave, defeat all the enemies in the courtyard.
#58 – Bronze Essence (Tempering Material)
From the previous collectible, turn around and interact with the furnace.
#59 – Kuye Temple Sutra (Tempering Material)
After Tempering the Tianxuan Bronze Sword with the Bronze Essence you just found, return to Daoist Bi Di by Myst’s Tavern Bell.
#60 – Thunderward (Accessory)
From the Green Serpent House Bell, enter the building on the left and it’ll be in a chest at the end of the room.
#61 – Sha-Chi Fragment
From the previous collectible, go up the stairs and follow the balcony to the end.
#62 – Memory Flower
From the previous collectible, exit the building through the side door and you’ll see it by the stairs.
#63 – You Loong’s Deluge (Phantom Edge)
From the previous collectible go all the way down the stairs and defeat You Loong, Leader of the Blackwater Crew.
#64 – Banyan Tree (Challenge Location)
From the arena where you fought You Loong, Leader of the Blackwater Crew, go across the wooden path and you’ll see it directly ahead. You’ll have to fight some waves of enemies here and then have a rematch with Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect.
#65 – Bell (Lion Dance Hall)
From the previous collectible, backtrack towards the stairs and go to down the alley on the left. The bell will be directly ahead.
#66 & #67 – Memory Flower / Kin Against Kin (Tales)
From the Lion Dance Hall Bell, walk through the path ahead and grapple up to the bridge. Go to the left and the collectible will be on the right.
#68 – Bell (Ancestral Shrine Square)
From the previous collectible, follow the path ahead and it’ll be on the left.
#69 – Thunder Spear (Phantom Edge)
Reward for defeating Chang Hong, The Thunder Spear. Story-related.
#70 – Blessed Jade Pendant (Accessory)
From the arena where you fought Chang Hong, The Thunder Spear, enter the building directly ahead and as long as you’ve collected the Flesh Lily in the Weeping Creek Valley, you can save the old man and he’ll give you the item.
Key Item – Heavy Lion Hall Gate Key
From the previous collectible, go back into the arena where you fought Chang Hong, The Thunder Spear and defeat the enemies.
#71 – Blackstone Fragment
From the Lion Dance Hall Bell, unlock the door and defeat the enemies directly ahead.
#72 – Memory Flower
From the previous collectible, go into the next room and it’ll be by the small pond.
#73 – Blazing Lion Head (Tempering Material)
From the previous collectible, go through the building on the right and exit outside again. Clear the fire away and it’ll be in a small nook.
#74 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From the previous collectible enter the building again and go up the stairs. Drop off the balcony to the left and it’ll be in a chest up the stairs.
#75 – Bell (Lion Dance Hall Depths)
From the previous collectible exit the building ahead and follow the path up the hill.
Key Item – Dormant Flaming Mane
Reward for defeating Flame, The Mask-Bound Lion Dance Grandmaster
#76 – Bell (The Sealed Lion)
Directly ahead in the arena where you fought Flame, The Mask-Bound Lion Dance Grandmaster.
#77 – Jade Brush Rest (Treasure)
Backtrack to the Marketplace Bell, then turn around and clear the fire in front of the small door. Go through and climb onto the rooftop to the right and follow the rooftops until you find the chest.
#78 – Goldblaze (Phantom Edge)
Go to Zhang’s Hideout (Pangzhen) Bell, then talk to Quick Hand Zhang.
#79 – Flaming Mane (Phantom Edge)
From the Jingyang Hall Bell, go through the door and talk with Lei Dang, who will repair the Flaming Mane.
#80 – Bell (Black Hill Pavilion)
From the Pong of Fading Song Bell, turn around and follow the path going to the right and burn the branches.
Continue on the path forward and cross the stone bridge.
#81 – Formless Divine Mirror (Accessory)
Near the Black Hill Pavilion Bell.
Key Item – Backstreet Cellar Crank
From the Black Hill Pavilion Bell, follow the path across the ridge straight across, then drop down onto a smaller wooden platform with the chest. Make sure to kick down the ladder here as well.
#82 & #83 – Memory Flower / A Mother’s Heart (Tales)
From the previous item, drop down the ladder.
#84 – Bell (Pangzhen Slums)
From the previous collectible, follow the path forward.
#85 – Bell (Old Man Gen’s House)
From the Pangzhen Slums Bell, go up the ladder on the right and follow the path up the hill, then go through the door on the left.
Key item – Dusty Old Wooden Comb
From the Old Man Gen’s House Bell, unlock the door on the left and interact with the body. You can also return to Old Man Gen in the Village of Lu to give it to him, which will unlock 
Together Till the End.
#86 & #87 – Memory Flower / Merciful Dew (Medicine)
From the Old Man Gen’s House Bell, turn around and use the Backstreet Cellar Crank to open the path. Follow the path through the cellar up the ladder and defeat the enemy at the top who will drop the item.
#88 – Scarecrow (Challenge Location) / Key Item – Leiting’s Thunder Mask
From the Old man Gen’s House Bell, go forward and down the hill. Keep follow the hill down and you’ll see it directly ahead. Here you’ll have to fight Acolyte Lei Ting who will give you the Leiting’s Thunder Mask.
#89 – Bell (Mandate Lodgings)
From the Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads Bell, go up the stairs and burn the branches on the left.
Follow the path ahead and you’ll eventually come across the bell in one of the buildings on the right.
#90 – Bell (Dockside Warehouse)
From the Mandate Lodgings Bell, go across the rooftops and it’ll be directly ahead.
#91 – Parting Hooks (Weapon)
From the Dockside Warehouse Bell, drop down and enter the large courtyard and defeat Soulclaimer, Elite Shadow Warden.
#92 – Bell (Pangzhen Docks)
From the arena where you fought Soulclaimer, Elite Shadow Warden, go down the stairs and it’ll be on your right.
#93 – Sha-Chi Amber Fragment
From the Pangzhen Docks Bell, enter the nearby building and go upstairs.
Meigu Lake Region Unlock
Continuing across the docks or interacting with the boat will enter you into the Meigu Lake Region. It’s not recommended to start this region just yet, but it’ll be unlocked now.
#94 – Memory Flower
From the Huang Manor Crossroads Bell, follow the road ahead and then go up the stairs on the right and burn the branches at the top. Continue up the stairs and you’ll see it on the left of one of the staircases.
#95 – Bell (Mirage Estate)
From the previous collectible, directly up the stairs.
Now is a good time to reattempt the Long Pillars from Weeping Creek Valley and Crimson Forest if you haven’t went back to complete those yet. You can also do the Triple Threat tale boss fight in Weeping Creek Valley as well.
Clean Up Visits
The collectibles listed under here can only be obtained after certain story events, obtaining specific Phantom Edges, or obtaining specific items.
Progression Required: Defeating Chief Disciple of the Seven-Stars Formation in the Mandate Encampment
Key Item – Shattered “Heroes Courage”
Talk to the Purple-Robed “Wolf” Leader near the Myst’s Tavern Bell.
#96 – Memory Flower
From the Pangzhen Slums Bell, go down the hill and defeat the NPC that turns into an enemy.
Progression Required: Collecting the 3 items for Xue, Admirer of Heroes Tale
#97 – Sha-Chi Headscarf (Accessory)
From the Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads Bell, enter the building on the right and talk to the Child of Insight at the top.
–> Later in the story you return to the upper part of Pangzhen where you collect the remaining collectibles. This is covered in a separate page as the 8th Region: Mirage Estate.
