Pokemon Sword & Shield Kommo-o Location

November 15, 2019 by PowerPyx 5 Comments

Galar Dex: #394 Kommo-o
Abilities: Bulletproof (1) | Soundproof (2) | Overcoat (H)
Type: Dragon / Fighting
EXP Group: Slow
Egg Group: Dragon
Hatch Cycles: 40
Height: 01.60 m, Weight: 078.2 kg, Color: Gray
Evolution: Jangmo-o (Level 35) > Hakamo-o (Level 45) > Kommo-o
Characteristics: It clatters its tail scales to unnerve opponents. This Pokémon will battle only those who stand steadfast in the face of this display. Certain ruins have paintings of ancient warriors wearing armor made of Kommo-o scales.

Kommo-o Location in Pokemon Sword & Shield: Here is how you get Kommo-o:

  • Evolves from Hakamo-o (~Level 45) – Sword Exclusive
  • Sword Edition: It’s a special encounter in the middle of Dusty Bowl (Wild Area, where the sand is) during Weather Conditions: Normal Weather, Intense Sun, Snowing, Snowstorm, Sandstorm, Heavy Fog. You can see it walking around (Overworld). It seems to have a cooldown of about 24 hours before it shows up again if you battle it (you can also quit the game before it saves so it’s still there).
  • Shield Edition: Only from having a Sword player trade you this Pokemon or its other Sword-exclusive evolution forms. Neither this nor its lower level evolutions can be found in Shield (trading only).

Kommo-o Stats:

  • HP: 75
  • Attack: 110
  • Defense: 125
  • Special Attack: 100
  • Special Defense: 105
  • Speed: 85
  • Total Combat Points: 600

Shows up in Dusty Bowl overworld when it’s snowing. I caught mine just wandering in overworld, not in the grass.

I think it’s one of those special encounters like Snorax, Steelix etc. that have fixed spawns.

In Shield Edition it’s Tyranitar walking around in the same spot instead of Kommo-o.

Officially it doesn’t have any habitat listed in Pokedex, but it’s in Dusty Bowl it regardless it seems.

What happen if I kill it by mistake? Does it appear again?

      Yes it respawns 🙂
It takes a while but you can also change time and date in console settings and it should respawn quicker.

Otherwise just check back next day it should be there again.
