Zelda Tears of the Kingdom How to Throw Items

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK), you can throw items and weapons. It is particularly useful to throw Brightbloom Seeds when exploring The Depths or other dark caves. This is more efficient than attaching items to an arrow, so you don’t waste arrows.

Here’s how to throw any item or weapon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom:

• Throwing Items: Hold ZL+R+UP > select item to throw using the Right Stick > stop holding UP to confirm > stop holding R to throw.
• Throwing Weapons: Equip the Weapon you want to throw > Hold ZL+R > stop holding R to throw.
• Attaching Items to Arrows: Equip a Bow > hold ZR to aim > hold UP and Right Stick to select item > stop holding UP to confirm > stop holding ZR to shoot.

You can cancel the throw by pressing B.
