Game Info

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) is the sequel to Breath of the Wild. It features similar gameplay mechanics and requirements for 100% completion. There are 23 Main Quests, 31 Shrine Quests, 60 Side Adventures, 139 Side Quests. There are also 152 Shrines which are puzzle rooms. The map is quite large and consists of 3 layers: Sky, Surface, Depths. You will play as Link and must find Princess Zelda. After unlocking the first Skyview Tower (viewpoint) from the main story, you can freely explore the map right away and already find most shrines and quests. However, some require more story progress. So it’s best to focus primarily on the story first, then you have access to everything and can clean up side tasks after. Nothing is missable. After the story you are put back before the final boss and can clean up any remaining tasks for 100% completion.

100% Completion Roadmap

Step 1: Finish the Story – nothing is missable and you don’t need to look out for anything. Feel free to do any side tasks and shrines you come across. For the most efficient route follow the Main Walkthrough.

Step 2: Clean up all Side Tasks after the Story – you can still go back everywhere after the story. You will have access to everything at this point and can finish all remaining quests, shrines etc. that you may have left. After the story you also unlock a 100% completion tracker in the right corner of the world map and a quest completion tracker in the adventure log.
