Hidden Tax is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.

Objectives:
- Find Klaudius, the missing husband
- Kill the crocodiles threatening Klaudios
- Speak to Klaudios to make sure he’s safe
- Bring Klaudios back to his wife
- Defend Klaudios from the bandits
- Speak to Klaudios to make sure he’s safe (again)
Talk to Ebio near the market. She reports that her husband Klaudios sailed across the lake but has not returned home yet and begs Bayek for help. You are given a search-radius on the map and have to use Senu again to get an exact location of Klaudios. He will be sitting on a lone column in the lake, surrounded by three crocodiles. The best way to get rid of them is to join Klaudius on his pedestal and pick them off with a bow. If you stay in your boat, they will attack and eventually sink it and it gets hard to aim at them.
Once the croc’s are dealt with, you may speak to him. He is not exactly sober and will need a lift home to his wife, which he didn’t know he had. Grab your boat and sail back to Ebio. Klaudios still believes he doesn’t have a wife and when they both see each other, he remembers that she isn’t really his wife but she just ran a scam on him to get ahold of some money. Next thing we know is that we are in a brawl with some bandits who belong to the same gang as Ebio does. There are only three of them and they come unarmed, so it’s a piece of cake to defend Klaudios once more. Speak to him again to conclude this quest.
