Thick Skin is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.

Objectives:
- Travel to Sais
- Find the Tanner in his Hunting Camp
- Defend the Tanner
- Speak to the Tanner
- Hunt animals for the Tanner and bring back the animal parts he needs
Objective: Travel to Sais
The quest giver will send you to a destination about 420 meters away. Go there and you’ll see a general search area on the map.
Objective: Find the Tanner in his Hunting Camp
Use Senu to scout the search area. There’s a camp near the water with two small bonfires. Just outside the camp is the Tanner you have to find, see image below.
Objective: Defend the Tanner + Speak to the Tanner
Simply kill the animals attacking the tanner and talk to him afterwards. You can easily kill them with arrows.

Now you must kill crocodiles, hyenas, and vultures to loot hunting goods from them (if you’ve already hunted them previously you can skip this step and finish the quest instantly). Use Senu again to scout the search area for the animals. The crocodiles are found by the water and are the most difficult, especially when you encounter them in big groups. Try to single out 1-2 crocodiles and shoot them with arrows or dodge around them and attack with quick weapons. Vultures are found on a mountain. At night they will be sleeping but you can climb the mountain and attack them. Try to run around the vultures until they attack you and then kill them with melee attacks. Shooting them with arrows also works but it’s tricky when they are flying in the air. The hyenas are easy, they are underneath the vulture nest and don’t have much health. Once you’ve slain the animals and gathered resources from them, return to the Tanner from earlier to complete the Thick Skin quest.
