Muspelheim contains 8 Collectible Locations in God of War (2018, PS4). This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in Muspelheim Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.

When you first visit the area in the story, you are still missing the unlockable skills needed to reach some collectibles. The order in which you can reach the collectibles may also be slightly different in the story. This walkthrough is intended for use after the story.
Unlocking Muspelheim
To unlock this realm, you must find 4 Muspelheim Language Ciphers. They are found in purple chests throughout the game (the ones with a white “face” lock). Luckily, there are much more than 4 of them. For their locations, refer to the guide for all Muspelheim Language Cipher Locations.

Muspelheim is just one big mountain with 5 trials leading to the top (and a 6th trial at the summit). With each trial you get further up the mountain. However, you must do each trial twice to unlock the gate to the next one. The collectibles here aren’t really hidden. The Mystic Gateways are all along the path leading up to the mountain and in plain sight. You have to walk past them to advance through the region so they are unmissable. If you have trouble with this region, come back after the story when you’ve unlocked better gear. You can also put the difficulty on easy in the game options.
#1 – Jötnar Shrine 1/1 (Surtr) – 0:05
Before the 1st trial, to the left of the first Mystic Gateway. Next to one of Brok’s shops (but no the one you arrive at in this realm, the one in question is in the outside region, just moments before the first trial).
#2 – Mystic Gateway 1/6 – 0:53
Same spot as the Jötnar Shrine, before first trial.
#3 – Mystic Gateway 2/6 – 1:09
Before second trial.
#4 – Mystic Gateway 3/6 – 1:28
Before third trial.
#5 – Mystic Gateway 4/6 – 1:48
Before fourth trial.
#6 – Mystic Gateway 5/6 – 2:11
Before fifth trial.

Before sixth trial.

At the summit of the mountain, after clearing all 5 trials leading up to it. This Valkyrie drops the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim, an item needed to fully upgrade the Blades of Chaos.

Definitely a great game all around, it’s been awesome and almost complete. I’m just wondering if I have to go back to the first trial” impossible trial” and complete that to get a 100%. Do I really need to complete that if I’ve done the trials once. I’ve also already beat the Valkyrie, I just keep doing a couple trials to farm.
