The Soul of an Instrument is a side tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Soul of an Instrument side quest.

• Region: Tokachi Range
• Quest Giver: Ainu Musician
• Requirement: Finished Prologue
• Reward: 3 Iron Sand and the Ninkari Ainu Item.
• Quest Info: An Ainu musician at Yubari Lake offered to play me a song if I help him craft an instrument. I’ve always wanted to hear someone play the tonkori.

Objectives:

1. Find smooth stone from a mountain pool.
2. Return to the Ainu musician.

Starting Location: The Soul of an Instrument

Find smooth stone from a mountain pool

Travel to the mountain pool. There will be some enemies there to defeat as well. Once they’re defeated, pick up the rock at the back of the pool.

Return to the Ainu musician

With the smooth stone in hand, travel back to the Ainu Musician’s Camp and speak with him.

Afterward, you can do the side tale A Melody of Thoughts in Nayoro Wilds to get the Shamisen Song “Song of the Ainu”.

This finishes The Soul of an Instrument in Ghost of Yotei.
