Shin Megami V: Vengeance is a remaster of the 2021 JRPG “Shin Megami Tensei V”, originally released only on Nintendo Switch. This updated version released in 2024 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Steam PC. It features new content and even a completely new story, with 2 new endings that didn’t exist in the original Switch game. At the very start of the game, you can choose whether to take a girl’s hand or not. Taking her hands puts you on the Canon of Vengeance story path, which is the newly added story exclusive to the “Vengeance” remaster. Not taking her hand puts you on the Canon of Creation story path, which is the original story from Nintendo Switch. For the 100% and Platinum you only need to find the Collectibles on one story path. Each path features a unique 3rd area which is mutually exclusive. Because of this you can’t get all collectibles in a single playthrough, but finding all possible from one path is enough to unlock the collectible trophies/achievements. In total you will need at least 6 playthroughs to get all endings and unlock all Demon Fusions and Virtual Trainer Battle missions.
