The Anatomy of Hope is a Favour (Side Quest) for a Wayward Spirit in God of War 2018. This walkthrough will guide you to all Gullveig’s bone locations in The Anatomy of Hope Favour.
- Quest Giver: Wayward Spirit at The Mason’s Channel
- Requirement: Earliest you can accept this quest is after completing the story missions “A New Destination”.
- Reward: Týr’s Waist Armour Recipe, Týr’s Offering and 1880 XP
Starting Location – Region: The Mason’s Channel
The quest is given by the wayward spirit at the boat dock of The Mason’s Channel. Here is its location:
Dock the boat on the beach and run straight to the West to the wayward spirit. Speak to him to trigger this quest. Remember, once the quest has been accepted head into your Goals tab of your start menu and move over to the favours tab and track the favour to get the waypoint to show on your compass.
Recover Gullveig’s Bones
Gullveig’s Bones #1 – Council of Valkyries
Get back in your boat and sail over to the other side of the Mason’s Channel. Dock your boat on the beach to your immediate left. Here is the location on the map:
Once your boat is docked use your lightning arrows to clear the path ahead. Climb up and just straight ahead on the floor will be a piece of the bones you are looking for:
Collect it and head back to your boat.
Gullveig’s Bones #2 – Ruins of the Ancient
Sail over to the Ruins of the Ancient and dock your boat. Here is the location of the Ruins of the Ancient:
Once docked, head into the open area but be cautious, there is an Ancient here. If you ignore the ancient it should not bother you but if you engage in a fight with it you can use the large rock in the area as protection from the Ancient’s attacks. Once you take out the Ancient look in the North part of the island to find another piece of bone on the floor:
Collect it and return to your boat.
Gullveig’s Bones #3 – Forgotten Caverns
For the final piece of bone sail over to the Forgotten Caverns. Here is the location of the Forgotten Caverns:
Once docked head straight ahead into the cave in front of you. Inside will be a few wolves waiting to attack. Defeat them and climb the pillar in the Northeast side of the room. Make your way around the circle until you get to a dead end, this is where the final bone is:
Pick up the final piece and head back to the boat.
Return Gullveig’s Bones
Head back to the Wayward Spirit in the Mason’s Channel and speak with him. Then the bones will become a Poison Revenant and will also spawn two Nightmares. Take out all three enemies like you would normally and the Anatomy of Hope quest will complete.
