Introduction

Welcome to the FIFTY WORDS BY POWGI Trophy Guide!

Back to the roots – sort of! Like the first POWGI title for PlayStation consoles, this game is another variation of Word Search.
This time, colorful patterns are very much encouraged and you can edit the colors to your liking.

Step 1: Complete mandatory Puzzles

This time around, there only are seven Puzzles you have to complete.

Doing them, once with only one color, once with 10 different mixed colors and finding diagonals first knocks away a large portion of the trophies.

Step 2: Find specific Words

Across all 60 puzzles, there are 10 hidden words which occur exactly three times.

You need to find and highlight all of them. Once marked, exiting to the menu is fine; no need to finish the puzzle. Resetting puzzles means you have to circle the certain found word again!

Step 3: Clean-up

You likely have to replay a few puzzles to solve one in under three minutes and might have to get the “backwards-trophies” out of the way to get your Platinum.

FIFTY WORDS BY POWGI Trophy Guide

Nifty Words
Collect all the trophies
Collect all the trophies to obtain the Platinum Trophy.
Pup and Running
Complete your first puzzle
Awarded upon solving you very first puzzle – no matter which one it is.
Roll Over
Highlight a word backwards
If you spot a word, start highlighting it from it’s last letter to it’s first, to obtain this trophy.
Sdorw Ytfif
Complete a puzzle while only highlighting words backwards
Normally, this would require a bit of attention, even with a screenshot from below, to not mark any word accidentally the correct way.

However, this trophy can even be cheesed a bit. Do any puzzle, marking words however you see fit, but leave one. Exit to the menu and head back into this puzzle. Highlighting the very last word backwards will still give this trophy.

Sniffing Around
Find all the diagonal words in a puzzle first
Pick any screenshot from below and start by doing all the diagonal words first, which are all highlighted in cyan.
Chasing Your Tail
Solve a puzzle in less than 3 minutes
This might be tricky to pull off on your first or second try. Once you have re-done a puzzle and are familiar with the words and their locations, a speedrun in under three minutes is very much doable. It might take you five tries in total.
The Whole Picture
Zoom out for 5 seconds
At any time, hold :triangle: for five seconds to zoom out and look at the whole grid.
There’s a Word List?
Complete a puzzle without looking at the word list
If you press :opt: and then :square: , a list of all the words you have already found, will appear. Simply don’t bring up the list at all and the trophy is yours upon completion of your current puzzle.

The “go-back-to-the-menu”-trick from above also works here, but is not really needed with a screenshot from below.

There’s a Word List!
Check the word list with only one word left to find
Before finishing a puzzle, take a look at the word list ( :opt: then :square: ) while there is only one word left to highlight.
My Masterpiece
Review a completed puzzle
Pick out any completed puzzle from the menu (marked with a tick next to it) and this trophy is yours.
I Have a Better Idea
Reset a completed puzzle
When reviewing a completed puzzle, you have an option to reset it and try it again.
Chromophobia
Complete a puzzle using only one color
When starting a puzzle, open the palette :options: and make sure to disable automatic color cycling. This way, your marker will stay in the same color and you can easily just finish off any puzzle you like without manually switching colors.
Chromophilia
Complete a puzzle using 10 different colors
This trophy can be easily combined with the one below. Open the palette and make sure to use all possible 10 colors.

Enabling automatic color-cycling is useful, so you don’t have to worry about switching colors while playing.

Chromomania
Edit the palette and choose 10 new colors
When opening the palette, select each of the 10 possible colors once and move their RGB-sliders up or down a bit to get your very own color-palette and highlight the puzzles in your preferred shades.
Fifty Shades of Blue
Complete “Got the Blues?”
This puzzle is located on Page 1 of the main menu.
Fore Words
Complete “Tee Time”

The Trophy called Chasing Your Tail “Solve a puzzle in less than 3 minutes” is the hardest trophy in the game and the options button to pause the game DOES NOT stop the timer. BUYER BEWARE

Al these trophies are really easy. If you do a puzzle maybe 2-3 times and if you map out every single word you can easily get the 3 minute trophy easy.
