Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Chipped Pot Location

November 20, 2022 by PowerPyx 1 Comment

Chipped Pot is an evolution item in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, it is used to evolve rare Sinistea that have a seal of authenticity (1% rarity). This guide shows where to find Chipped Pot Location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Common (“counterfeit”) Sinistea uses Cracked Pot to evolve. There’s no real difference between the two versions, just know that if one type of pot doesn’t work on a Sinistea you must use the other type of pot to make it evolve, it depends on the Sinistea’s rarity.

Chipped Pot Location:

  • Chipped Pot is randomly available at the Auction House in Porto Marinada, a town in West Province (Area Two). To reach this place you must first have defeated the Open Sky Titan (Level 19) in West Province (Area One). This will unlock the Swim Ability for your mount, which you can use to swim up the River in East Province (Area Two), then follow the path north of Levincia to explore the northern half of the map. The items in the auction house change daily (random). Other NPCs will bid on the items too and you must bid more than anyone else. If the auction house vendor doesn’t let you participate you must make more story progress first. Many evolution items are available at the Porto Marinada Auction but it’s all random which items you get each day. If you don’t get the one you are looking for simply skip time to the next day in the Nintendo Switch System Settings and check again: Home-Button > System Settings > System > Date and Time.

  • Chipped Pots are used to evolve ultra rare (1% rarity) Sinistea in its true form (has seal of authenticity). The “normal” (aka “counterfeit”) Sinista which is what you get 99% of the time uses Cracked Pot to evolve. Both types of Pots can be obtained from the Auction House. For the Pokedex completion any of the versions will suffice, you don’t need both.

Chipped Pot Evolutions:

In Scarlet & Violet you use Chipped Pot to evolve the following Pokemon:

  • Sinistea > Polteageist (rare form)

Save in the center of the auction area, quit, skip 2hrs and load. Auction should change, if you don’t see it just restart game again. Will be random.
