Introduction
Welcome to the Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Trophy Guide! This is the 3rd Plague Tale game. The gameplay and trophies are similar to the first two games. There are 14 linear chapters, a bunch of miscellaneous combat trophies, and you need to find almost all collectibles. Just be sure to collect at least 165 of the 200 available Resonance Points, as they don’t carry over in Chapter Select. All other Collectibles still count via Chapter Select. The combat trophies can all be farmed via checkpoint restart and are quickly done through Chapter Select after the story.
Step 1: Collectible Playthrough
Follow the Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Collectible Guide, chapter by chapter. It contains all Collectibles, including the Resonance Points. Make sure to collect at least 165 Resonance Points of the 200 total. You are allowed to skip 35 of them. You need 165 to buy all skills for
Like a warrior. This is missable because the Resonance Points don’t carry over in Chapter Select, so you must get them in a single playthrough. They are only saved when reaching the next checkpoint. If you die, you must collect them again. They can’t be farmed via chapter replay and aren’t tracked in chapter select. If you reload an older chapter it resets your points to how many you had at the time (it doesn’t transfer your points from later chapters).
All other trophies and collectibles still count through Chapter Select after the story. If you miss a few Resonance Points don’t worry, but if you miss 10+ in a chapter it’s better to immediately restart the chapter before playing further.

MISSABLE – you must find 165 of 200 Resonance Points in a single playthrough to buy all skills (Chapter Select doesn’t work for this) Buying all Skills will cost you 165 Skill Points. There are a total of 200 available, allowing you to skip any 35 of them (only 82.5% needed). So it’s fine to miss a few. This trophy is missable because they don’t carry over in Chapter Select. If you use Chapter Select it resets your points to the amount you had when you first played that chapter. Resonance Points are the “Skill Points”. They are hidden as collectibles in the world, indicated by a glimmering white light. Each pickup gives 1 Resonance Point, so they’re effectively 165 collectibles. A few come as automatic rewards from combat encounters. In total there are 6 skill branches with 3 skills each. To buy them, press Touchpad > Sophia > Skills. Buying just the first skill (square icon) isn’t enough, you need the two sub-skills in each branch too. The skills you own are marked yellow and the ones you don’t own are grayed out. When you buy a skill it increases the price of all other skills. The prices increase at the following rate:
Total = 165/200 required. You can keep track of your total count under Touchpad > Artefacts > check the bottom left corner. They are included in the collectible guide chapter by chapter: |

Returning the favor Kill an Archer with a throwing knife |
![]() |
During some combat encounters you will have archers shooting at you, and you can also find knives on the ground (or dropped by other enemies you defeat). Press on a knife on the floor and look in the direction of the archer to throw it at him.
The earliest spot for it is in Chapter IV – From Hell It rose, Sub-Chapter: 4 – At the bottom, Objective: Progress through the Trial. In the room where Leni pulls a lever on the other side, you will be ambushed by archers and there’s a knife on the floor. Another spot is Chapter V – Desolation it wrought, Sub-Chapter 2 – Battle grounds. During the first enemy encounter, there’s an archer and one of the other enemies drops a knife. |

Cannon fodder Lure a Brute into killing 1 soldier while in a rage |
![]() |
| Brutes are the bigger human enemies that wield a wooden club/mace and do red glowing attacks. You will frequently encounter them throughout the game. They are always accompanied by regular human enemies. Attack a normal human until he only has 1 health segment left, then have the Brute do a series of red glowing attacks and it must hit and kill the other enemy. It’s a bit random because the enemies must stand very close together. “Rage” is when the brute does multiple red attacks in a row.
A good spot is in Chapter V – Desolation it wrought, Sub-Chapter 2 – Battle grounds. Defeat the first group of enemies, then take the left path (pull down the wooden scaffolding), then go through the house to find an abandoned campsite. Climb up the cliffs on the left and loot the small chest that rewards a charm. Then a brute and other enemies appear. Lure them into the doorway in the house, it’s a tight space and the brute is more likely to hit another enemy there. Another spot is Chapter VII – Death it sowed – Sub-Chapter 2 – The whole damn army, after going through an underground section you will fight a brute and other enemies before using a zipline. |

Inherited brutality Kill 4 enemies simultaneously with a Focus attack |
![]() |
| You will automatically unlock Focus Attacks during Chapter IV – From hell it rose.
Then Focus Attacks can be performed by simultaneously pressing A good place to do this is in Chapter XII – Fading Light, Subchapter 1 – The Beam, against the first group of enemies. There will be many enemies close together in the first cave you enter. Hit them a couple times so they only have 1 healthbar left each, this ensures they will die instantly from your Focus Attack. Build up your Focus by parrying attacks and doing critical strikes. Wait for 4 of them to stand close together and press |
||

Untouchable Successfully parry 6 attacks in a row |
![]() |
| This trophy is a bit glitchy and doesn’t properly unlock on lower difficulties. Be sure to play on Nightmare difficulty (the highest difficulty) and enable Invincible Mode. You can change this at any time in Settings > General > Difficulty & Invincible Mode. Having the “Rusty Sword” equipped also seems to make it unlock.
A good spot to do this is Chapter X – Parallel Paths, Subchapter 1 – The Bridge, Objective: Fight the army. The first enemy encounter of this chapter will take place on a bridge with many enemies. Stand around and spam |

Excessive force Break free from a Corrupted’s grab with a Focus attack |
![]() |
| “Corrupted” are the enemies referred to as “Puppets” in-game. They are the heavily armored enemies, normally you have to take off their head so their blue tentacles stick out and you aim the sphere’s laser beam to kill them.
For this trophy, DON’T take off their heads and wait for one to grab you. Then you get the Be sure to play on Nightmare difficulty (the highest difficulty) and enable Invincible Mode. You can change this at any time in Settings > General > Difficulty & Invincible Mode. On Narrative difficulty you automatically dodge all attacks and can’t be grabbed, and on lower difficulties they rarely do the grabbing move. You can do this in Chapter XI: Patera, Subchapter 3: Puppets, Objective: Follow the beam. |
||
![]() |
Adaptable Kill at least 1 enemy with each blade |
![]() |
This is basically the same requirement as Plunderer, requiring you to find all 8 Blades (Swords), but you must also get a kill with each. These can be farmed anywhere, for example in Chapter V, Subchapter 2 at the first enemy encounter. Kill one enemy, reload checkpoint, switch the blade (press Touchpad > Sophia > Blades), repeat. You can’t change weapons during combat.
There’s a 9th DLC weapon called “Hero’s Blade” (from pre-order DLC), but it’s not needed. Potential Bug & Fix: sometimes the trophy doesn’t unlock correctly. Try doing another kill with each blade. If this doesn’t fix it, check if you own the Pre-Order DLC “Heritage Pack” and uninstall it (in PS5 home menu click on the game > Manage Game Content). |
||

No holds barred Stun 20 enemies with throwables |
![]() |
Can be farmed in Chapter V – Desolation it wrought, Sub-Chapter 2 – Battle grounds. During the first enemy encounter, there are two bottles on the floor. Press to throw them, reload checkpoint, repeat. No need to finish the encounter, you can restart it immediately. You don’t need to be in stealth, it counts if you throw the bottles during combat. |
||
![]() |
Overboard Kill 20 enemies by pushing them down a drop |
![]() |
Can be farmed in Chapter V – Desolation it wrought, Sub-Chapter 2 – Battle grounds. After the first enemy encounter, go up into the ruins and you’ll see spike traps in the floor. Kick enemies into them with . Before killing the last enemies, restart the checkpoint and repeat. Pulling down archers from high positions doesn’t increase the counter, but kicking enemies off ledges or into spike traps does count. |
||

They were people Destroy 100 petrified with light |
![]() |
| There’s a good chance you’ll unlock it naturally from story progress without trying, but if you don’t have it after story, best place to farm it is Chapter XIII – As One, Sub-Chapter 3 – Surviving Corruption. You will spawn in a room full of petrified enemies and a mirror. Shine the mirror at the Petrified. You can farm it via checkpoint restart. | ||
![]() |
Sharp enough for you? Kill 25 enemies with a critical strike |
![]() |
Critical Strike is done by holding . You will see your blade glowing and you do a “heavy attack” for more damage. Kill 25 enemies with this, should come naturally. You can also farm it in Chapter V – Desolation it wrought, Sub-Chapter 2 – Battle grounds, it contains many enemies. |
||
![]() |
Skilled maneuverer Stun 3 enemies at the same time using the skill Echo’s Return |
![]() |
| First, you must buy the skill “Echoes Return” (press Touchpad > Sophia > Skills).
A good place is in Chapter XII – Fading Light, Sub-Chapter 1 – The beam, in first room full of enemies. Press |
||
![]() |
Refraction Burn the creature 10 times with the Light Concentrate |
![]() |
| The “Light Concentrate” is a skill for your sphere, it’s an automatic story unlock in Chapter X – Parallel paths, Sub-Chapter 5 – A Light that burns.
The best place to farm this is in Chapter XIII – As one, Sub-Chapter 1 – The Labyrinth. A short while into the chapter, you will be chased by the worm monster inside a Labyrinth. Stand at one of the lights, hold |
||
![]() |
Baitfish Lure successfully 20 Petrified simultaneously |
![]() |
| This can easily be done at the start of Chapter XIII – As one, Subchapter 3 – Surviving Corruption, Objective: Unlock the Exit despite the Petrified.
There you will be in a room full of petrified enemies. Run close to them to wake them up, they will be lured to the sound of your footsteps. You must lure 20 at the same time, there are far more in this room. |
||

Sea you later! Say hello to the turtle |
![]() |
| This is done in Chapter 3 – Those before us, Subchapter 1 – Paradise. When you spawn at the beach, turn around and follow the shoreline until you see a turtle. Wait for the talk to finish and the trophy will unlock. | ||
![]() |
Close call Survive the creature by a hair’s breadth 5 times |
![]() |
| In Chapter VI – What lies beneath, Subchapter 2 – The creature, you will be hunted by a big worm monster. Reach a safe zone in the light when the creature is about to catch you. Repeat 5 times. You will likely get this naturally because the monster will chase you many times throughout the game. | ||
![]() |
Unpredictable While chased, make the creature lose your trail 25 times by jumping over a gap |
![]() |
| When the worm monster chases you, jump over gaps 25 times to slow it down.
You can farm it quickly in Chapter VII – Death it sowed, Subchapter 4 – The arena. |

Theater enthusiast Watch the entire puppet show at the carnival |
![]() |
| This is done in Chapter II – Felons, Subchapter 2 – The carnival, Objective: Follow the pieces of cloth to the church. After Leni lockpicks a door and you squeeze through a backyard with 2 pigs. Then you reach a big carnival with torch jugglers on the stage. Follow the path behind the stage where the fire jugglers are and you’ll see a puppet show. Stand in front of the puppet show for about 1 minute until the trophy unlocks. | ||
