Palace Entrance is the 6th shrine in Worship’s Rise in Ruins region of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Collectibles Overview:
How to reach Palace Entrance: after defeating the boss “Vermilion Feathers – Honglan”, go through the red gate that will appear in the boss arena to find this shrine.
Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Palace Entrance
As soon as you reach Palace Entrance Shrine, back up your save game. We’ll do one game ending here, then revert the save to continue playing. Without a backup save you’d be put into New Game+ with no way back.
–> SAVE BACKUP #1 (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Upload or Delete from Console Storage > Upload to Cloud Storage -> in previous menu click Sync Saved Data = DISABLED so it doesn’t automatically overwrite your cloud save)
ENDING: Successor of the Bo
Before proceeding to Boss: Bo Magus, fast travel back to Annalum Shrine. From the shrine turn around 180° and go back into the inner courtyard. There talk to the Storyteller NPC who sits on the path. You must refuse to help him to get this ending. If you agree to help him you’re locked out of the ending.
Pick these exact dialogues:
- What kind of favor?
- I do not…
- The Bo People…
- REFUSE TO HELP (only available if in Mt. Zhenwu > Avian Dwelling you told the Red-Clad Lady “I agree”)
- REFUSE -> Locks you into Successor of the Bo Ending. All you have to do is defeat Bo Magus boss to trigger this early game ending.
Now return to Palace Entrance shrine.
Boss: Bo Magus (Boss Guide) + ENDING: Successor of the Bo
To the left of Palace Entrance shrine, take the path leading to a tower, go down the ladder, follow the path to enter the boss fight. Beat Bo Magus to trigger the secret early ending “Sucessor of the Bo”. The trophy pops immediately after the boss fight, you’ll get the ending cutscene, and New Game+ starts immediately with no option to continue free-roaming. You can ignore the collectibles leading up to the boss since we’ll revert the save after.
–> REVERT TO SAVE BACKUP #1 (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Download or Delete from Cloud Storage > Download)
You will respawn back at Palace Entrance shrine.
NPC: Storyteller (opposite choice, agree to help him) + Spell: Polygonal Container
Return to the Storyteller at Annalum. This time agree to help him:
- What kind of favor?
- I do not…
- The Bo People…
- Agree -> he gives Spell: Polygonal Container -> this makes it so the game doesn’t end prematurely at Bo Magus boss
We must now beat Bo Magus a 2nd time, because we need her boss rewards, particularly Magus’ Eyepiece (Tao Qing item), and the shrine that spawns in the boss room after beating her. On the way to her you can now grab the collectibles.
Gilded Axe (Wu Gang)
Take the path up to the right from Palace Entrance shrine, behind the mouth on the ground that jumps out to attack you.
Spell: Spiritual Flames
Continue along this path to the dead end to find the spell.
Forgotten Remembrance (Manna Vase Upgrade)
From the shrine go down the left path into the Underground Palace but don’t go down the ladder in the center of the tower. Drop down one level just before entering the tower, then walk up the little wooden ramp outside the tower (where a giant enemy is) to get back inside, then drop down one floor to the golden chest.
Boss: Bo Magus (again)
At the bottom of the building in the open area.
Rewards: Magus’ Eyepiece (Tao Qing item), Spell: Echo of the Bo Magus
Shrine: Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Bo Shrine
Appears after defeating the Bo Magus. This is why we have to beat her a 2nd time to get the trophy for finding all shrines.

I just tried the backup save on Xbox. It didn’t work and I’m on NG+. I can’t play this game anymore.

Did you quit to dashboard first on xbox or did you delete your save whilst the game was still running

I’d like to throw in the suggestion that even when doing the secret ‘successor of bo’ ending it is still worth the time to grab the Gilded Ax (if you want to kill the giant is up to you, you can just grab it and run) .its only a 1 minute diversion and will expand Wu Gongs inventory to sell 10 Radiant feathers for cheap, this will let you get your weapon up to +9 making the fight that much easier/faster even if you are reverting the save.

Hey ive bearen th vermilion honglan boss and interacted with the palace entrnace shrine then created a back up. But i cant find the story teller in annalum. Is this a bug?

PS5 you need to have Playstation Plus or higher to use Cloud Storage.
