Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Trophy Guide & Roadmap

July 24, 2025 by PowerPyx 37 Comments

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Trophy Roadmap

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 6/10
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 40-60 hours. Doable in 40 hours if combining all endings in one playthrough with PS+ save backups. 60 hours without PS+ backups (would require 4 full playthroughs for endings without backups).
  • Offline Trophies: 40 (1trophy, 4trophy, 11trophy, 24trophy)
  • Online Trophies: 0, game is offline singleplayer
  • Number of missable trophies: Everything missable except for 10 story-related bosses. NPC interactions and bosses must be done in a specific order or the questlines will fail. Wrong dialogue choices will lock you out of endings and collectibles. There’s a major point of no return: interacting with the Storyteller in “Region 3: Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar” will lock out the 1st region. Follow the Collectible Guide chronologically by area to get platinum in one playthrough without having to worry about missables.
  • Glitched trophies: 0 – everything is obtainable, however trophy Bamboozling Return (defeat 20 Bamboozlings) can be a little glitchy and doesn’t unlock after the 20th for some players. If it doesn’t pop start New Game+ and it should pop after the 5th-7th Bamboozling.
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No, there are no difficulty settings. It’s one and the same difficulty for everyone.
  • Hardest Trophy: trophy Dream’s Sweet Deceit
  • Minimum Playthroughs: 1 with PS+ save backups if following the Collectible Guide by area (it explains when to back up saves to combine endings). 4 full playthroughs required without PS+ backups, would require one per ending because the game autosaves after each ending and can’t go back.
  • PS4/PS5 Autopop, Save Transfer, Crossbuy: No, game doesn’t have a PS4 version
  • Free-Roam / Level Select after Story?: No, triggering any ending starts New Game+ immediately, with no option to free-roam after story.
  • New Game+ Mode?: Yes, NG+ starts immediately after triggering any ending, with no option to free-roam after story.
  • Supports Manual Saves?: No manual saves, only 1 Autosave. It autosaves regularly every few minutes and whenever resting at shrines.
  • Release Date: July 24, 2025

Introduction

Welcome to the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Trophy Guide! Wuchang is a Soulslike game. The platinum requires beating all bosses, getting all 4 endings, and finding some of the collectible types. The things not required are: Benedictions (weapon mods), Aurum Birds/Aurum Feathers, Armor, Red Feathers for weapon upgrades (no need to collect, can buy from merchants), and some NPC questlines aren’t required. Of all other items you will need everything. It’s recommended to do everything on the first playthrough, because each subsequent New Game+ run scales up the difficulty. If you do too many playthroughs it will eventually get too difficult. By collecting everything on the first run you will have all items and upgrades which will make the game easier. Depending on whether you have PlayStation+ for save backups or not, you’ll either need 1 or 4 playthroughs. With PS+ you can back up and restore your save at certain points to get all endings in one run, this will be pointed out in the collectible guide. Without PS+ you’d need 4 full playthroughs, one per ending. The first playthrough takes around 40 hours, then each subsequent New Game+ run can be done in 5 hours or less.

Step 1: Follow Collectible Guide to get Platinum in 1 Playthrough (All Collectibles/Bosses/Endings)

Follow the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Collectible Guide from one area to the next. It contains everything needed for trophies, including the 4 endings and NPC questlines.

Everything is missable in different ways. Most importantly, do all NPC interactions and follow the choices outlined in the guide. When NPC interactions are available, they will appear as character icons in the fast travel menu at shrines. If you advance to the next region the NPCs will disappear, which fails their questlines and associated rewards.

There is a major point of no return at Region 3: Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar, when talking to the storyteller NPC. You will be sent to the 4th region and the 1st region becomes unavailable. Furthermore, there’s no free-roam after the story, so if you trigger an ending without a backup save there’s no way back.

Tips:

  • In graphics settings turn on locked FPS to avoid screen-tearing and set sharpness at 10 for better texture quality.
  • Play at maximum madness (red-glowing eyes) to get +20% more XP and deal more damage. You can increase madness by using Maddening Incense items or Invoke at shrines.
  • If you die at maximum madness, it spawns a demon where you died. It attacks you but also attacks other enemies. Can exploit this to let the demon defeat strong enemies automatically (doesn’t work against bosses).
  • If you struggle with a boss, spend some time farming enemies to level up. Remember to be at max madness when farming XP to get the +20% boost. Invest in the stats that scale your weapon damage and vitality for more health.
  • Can reset skills and weapon upgrades any time for free. Experiment with different builds, especially for bosses.
  • Use Ancient Chisel before boss fights to get a random buff.
  • An easy character build is Axe + Lifeleech Needle. Buy the Axe Skills “Axe & Hook” and “Chop & Weave”. It will greatly reduce incoming damage when you attack at the same time as the enemy. Buy Leech Needle from the left skill tree, use the Temperance item (unlocked from 3rd boss) to buff your weapon. Then every hit restores health. The final hit of each axe combo also restores stamina and skyborn might (mana), allowing you to attack infinitely.

» See Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Collectible Guide, stick to the area order and you won’t have to worry about missables.

(Optional) Step 2: New Game+ Cleanup

If needed, you can do a speedrun in New Game+. You will be overpowered and can rush through the game in 3-5 hours. Everything respawns and can be collected again. The spell “Echo of Bo Magus” is particularly helpful in New Game+ as it creates a protective bubble around you that blocks damage.

If you don’t have PS+ for save backups to do all endings in one playthrough, then you will need an additional playthrough per ending, so 4 playthroughs total.

Fallen Feathers
Obtain all trophies
Platinum
Earn all other trophies in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers to unlock Platinum (no DLC items required).

Note: On PC/Xbox the achievement for earning all other achievements is reportedly glitchy and doesn’t unlock. PC/Xbox players reported that the workaround is to have all 4 endings on the same save (thus 4 playthroughs required on PC/Xbox). On PS5 the platinum unlocks fine as soon as the other trophies have been earned, even if using save backups to get the endings in one playthrough.

Wielder of Power
Enhance a weapon to the maximum
Bronze
Unlocked by upgrading a weapon to +10 via the skill tree at shrines.

Weapon Upgrades require 4 types of materials: Faint Red Feather (+3 Upgrade), Brilliant Red Feather (+6 Upgrade), Radiant Red Feathers (+9 Upgrade), Lustrous Red Feather (+10 Upgrade).

You find them as purple items throughout the world. Later in the game after upgrading Wu Gang’s shop you can buy more than enough. So you don’t need to worry about searching for them. Grab the ones you find on your own, then buy the rest from Wu Gang after finding his stock upgrade items (needed for trophy Shop of Plenty anyway).

The only one Wu Gang doesn’t sell is the final material “Lustrous Red Feather”, but you can buy it from the Panda merchant in the final region and also find it in Bo Capital. From the shrine Bo Capital – Capital Entrance, turn around and to your left will be a cave entrance. At the end of the cave use the elevator platform by stepping on the elevator button. This leads to an open area with big monsters fighting and a tall white tree in the middle. Go up the tree via its big white root, next to where two big monsters fight. At the top of the white tree you can pick up the Lustrous Red Feather.

Well Met, Divines

This trophy will come automatically early on, whenever you interact with a shrine for the first time. They are on the main story path and would be hard to overlook.
Disciplinary Discipline
Acquire any discipline skill
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. This will be your first trophy in the game. After leaving the cave at the very start and watching the next cutscene, you obtain the first weapon (Cloudfrost’s Edge), which unlocks the first discipline “Blink Kick”. The trophy unlocks after the cutscene. More disciplines can be unlocked from the skill tree, but none are necessary for other trophies.

To his right you can go over the roof and climb up the ladder, drop down on the other end. Then follow the path past the fire bird enemy to reach a big wooden gate, behind it is this boss. I Call Thee
Summon an NPC to aid you
Bronze
First, you must get the Bone Whistle. It can be obtained in two ways:

  • Given by NPC “Nian Suichang” on the path from Lightzen Temple to Shu Sanctum. He stands directly on the main story path, can’t miss him unless you intentionally choose not to interact with him there.
  • Sold by merchant “Tao Qing” (found at different places throughout the story).

Secondly, you must do the questline for an NPC who can be called to a boss fight. If you helped certain NPCs with their quests, you can then use the bone whistle during specific bosses to call them for help. This unlocks the trophy. It only works with certain NPCs and against certain bosses.

The easiest solution is to call Nian Suichang (guy who gives Bone Whistle) to the story boss “Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang”. That’s the boss on the top floor of Shu Sanctum. You can only call Nian Suichang if you interacted with him before. There are many other opportunities, for example if you help White-Robed Elder you can call him to the Bo Sorcerer boss fight.

Bamboozling Return
Defeat 20 Bamboozlings
Bronze
There are a total of 20 Bamboozlings, you must defeat all of them in a single playthrough. Bamboozlings are little yellow minions that appear on the path and run away from you, then they quickly dig into the ground and disappear. Each of them drops a Bamboo Shoot, a special currency that can be traded to the Panda merchant for rewards.

If you miss a Bamboozling, you must rest at a shrine to make it respawn. An easy method is to shoot a spell at the Bamboozling, or dodge forward and stab it with a one-handed sword.

To unlock the trophy you must get all 20 in a single playthrough! You can’t get only 10 in one playthrough and then another 10 in New Game+.

Glitch Warning: the trophy is known to be a little glitchy for some players. If it doesn’t unlock after defeating the 20th Bamboozling, you will need to go into New Game+ and defeat them again. For me it unlocked after the 5th Bamboozling in NG+ despite having defeated all 20 on the first playthrough. It can unlock a little sooner or later than that, so just speedrun NG+ and defeat them until the trophy unlocks.

Quelling Madness
Defeat 6 Inner Demons
Bronze
There are a total of 6 Inner Demons, you must defeat all of them in a single playthrough. They are special demon enemies that drop the Bo Blood upgrade items. Note that the demons that spawn when you die at maximum madness don’t count for the trophy. You have to defeat 6 specific ones that spawn in fixed locations throughout the game. The last one of them spawns in the 3rd region Mt. Zhenwu.

Discerning Eye
Find all gates containing Benedictions
Bronze
There are 7 Benediction Gates in total. They are the big yellow gates (different from red riddle gates). The first one appears in Cloudspire Outskirts. Each of these gates rewards you a benediction item immediately when opening it. The 3 red riddle gates don’t count towards this trophy.

Shop of Plenty

Radiant Faith

Bronze
There are 50 shrines total. They are the save points / fast travel points. Almost all of them are found along the main path in plain sight. Only a few are in hidden side areas.

Had a good time with this game, figuring everything out and ordering it into 1 playthrough was a fun puzzle to solve.

Especially for $50 it’s one of the better Soulslikes out there imo and has a good amount of content. Enjoyed the level design and atmosphere, feels very “Souls”. Combat system is easy enough to get into (only 5 weapon types) yet allows for enough depth with different builds. I found it to be one of the easier Soulslikes, just a few bosses that can be annoying.

If you spend time reading all dialogues and quest item descriptions, you learn a lot more about the backstory. Game lets you figure things out for yourself and come to your own conclusions which I like.

As long as you’re being thorough, it’s easy enough to find everything, thanks to NPCs being marked in the fast travel menu when they have interactions available.

Thanks peeps, sounds like a fun platinum, especially if NG plus (at least the first one) is on the easy side. Would you guys agree that this would mean that we could do a first blind run and then just clean up in ng plus?

Can still do all trophies in NG+ if you want.
For sake of efficiency and difficulty I recommend doing everything on the 1st run, because the items/upgrades help a lot in the boss fights. Also doing NPC questlines lets you call some NPCs to help with boss fights, which makes the game considerably easier.

How’s the performance? I’m hearing mixed reviews on fps and bugs

Performance was solid for me (PS5 Pro). Initially had some screen-tearing but no issues after switching to locked FPS. Only bug I had was that my trophy for all Bamboozlings didn’t pop after the 20th, but then it popped in NG+ after the 5th one. Someone else I know had the same issue, but worked fine for others. Haven’t experienced any gameplay bugs at all though.

On Xbox we can Save to cloud but only for max 20-30min. Afrer that Save will be overwritten. That’s enough time to finish ending and reload Last Save form cloud?

20-30min won’t be enough to do all endings back to back. But you could still combine 2 endings per run within that time window: on 1st run combine Dream’s Sweet Deceit + Bound by Fate’s Threads. On 2nd run combine Successor of the Bo + Jarful of Medicine.

Each ending requires beating a boss so you’ll need to practice the boss to beat it fast enough before the 20min is up. If you take too long make another backup save before boss attempt.

I’m not 100% sure what the current Xbox backup method is, could use further confirmation.
Here’s how it used to work back in 2022 (test on a dummy account first, use at your own risk): To force a cloud save where you want it to occur, disconnect yourself from the internet > trigger an autosave in-game while disconnect > reconnect yourself back to the internet > now it will force a cloud save > (double-check that it really uploaded to the cloud) > do one ending WITHOUT EXITING THE GAME (exiting the game may overwrite cloud save!) and stay online because it can’t unlock achievements offline > when done press Home-Button > scroll down to the game > press Options > Manage Game > Saved Data > click Gamertag > Delete Saved Data > Delete from Console > if it still shows the save, delete it again until it’s gone > press Home-Button and restart the game > it will now sync/download your backup save from cloud.

I’m primarily an Xbox gamer—I only use my PS for exclusives and to replay some favs—don’t think the whole “20–30 minute” thing is accurate, maybe you’ve misunderstood? Unless they’ve very recently changed something?

Historically, Xbox triggers a cloud save every time you fully close the game application. In this example, you’d quit the game completely at the sync save point you want to restore. If you want to restore that save, the key is DO NOT close the game again before syncing. This overwrites the cloud save.

To restore to your cloud save, say, after doing Ending 1 of 4:

Manage Games and Apps → select the game → Manage Game → Save Data → Delete from Console (NOT FROM EVERYWHERE). This will close the game automatically, and when you re-load it’ll re-sync the older cloud save. No need to mess with disconnecting from the internet or jumping through extra hoops.

I’ve used this method consistently—for example, with Elden Ring’s multiple endings—and it’s worked reliably across various titles.

Yep. It’s extremely annoying..they translated the whole game into English but couldn’t spend ten minutes to make English names on trophies?

I have another post pending to you. But I think I know the issue.
If you like me have a different language on the ps5 than English (in my case it’s Swedish) it’s all in Chinese but if you change default language on the ps5 to English the trophy list will start showing with English text instead of Chinese.

A Big Thank you for your guide ! I just got the platinum by following the collectible guide carefully since I Have started the game. Especially the part of the guide about the 4 endings is mandatory to get all the trophies in a single run.

If you are not familiar with souls game, the trophy difficulty can reach 8/10 at some moment. Especially for end chapter and endgame boss fights in which difficulty increases significantly.

Does the game get harder with each playthrough of NG+?

Yes. Early game is easy in NG+ but later bosses from Region 4 onward get a bigger difficulty spike. Enemies deal more damage with each subsequent NG+ run.

By the way, regarding the side quest for a certain character (I won’t mention their name to avoid spoilers), the guide says you need to summon them three times throughout the game to complete their side story. Once done, they’ll give you items that are important for the weapon collection trophy.

In my case, I missed the first opportunity to summon them (I didn’t notice their summon sign), but I was still able to complete the side quest by summoning them during the next two opportunities. It didn’t cause any issues with the quest’s progression. (However, you should still interact with them whenever the guide says to.)

Also, don’t forget the shrines during the final boss of Chapter 1. I had to replay the game up to that point and activate the shrines again—only then did I get the trophy related to the shrines.

I wish there was a collectible guide that just laid out only the absolutely necessary missable stuff. Following a step by step guide for every single item and telling you where to go feels like the worst way to play a game like this

The collectible guide does focus on only the trophy relevant stuff (plus some extra NPC questlines), and everything is missable. So this is already what you want 🙂

Just got the plat and wanted to thank you. Normally I don’t follow guides on the first run, and when possible, only for collectables after first run but I’m really happy I followed this one. I love the game, but the level and quest desing is quite convoluted and it definitely has it’s big bs moments. However, great experience overall and in no small part thanks to your guide. Thanks again!

For those playing on Xbox Series S/X, the backup save system doesn’t seem to work. I tried and tested some tips and tricks, but unfortunately, they didn’t work. The system creates a restore point at specific points in the game. In my case, the restore point was created before facing the Bo Magus boss, for the “Successor of the Bo” ending. Unfortunately, the four endings must be achieved by replaying the game.

    Love ur guides, thank you!!
    I have a question ?
Im aiming for the platinum. Apparently I need to do the White Robed-Elder (Zhao Yun) questline. I spoke to him on Shu Sanctum. Next I saw him across the chasm when I was speaking with the red clad lady in worship rise. Forgot about him and triggered the area boss (the blood bird or what it is )
When i finally found him at his second location, he was nowhere to be seen.
Did I just f up his questline and trophy ?

Okay, thank you very much. Thanks to this collection guide, I got platinum today. I was missing the Heavenly Great Axe, but I was able to get it relatively easily at the beginning in G+. Oh, and I was also missing a merchant item that I had overlooked in the confusing level in Zhenwu. Thanks to about 80 MB of save files, which I hardly needed, except for the few times that were explicitly and clearly explained here, even multiple times. The endings didn’t all have to be in one save on Steam; they all count towards platinum. Honor, brothers and sisters. My game of the year.
