Wuchang Fallen Feathers All Riddle Locations & Solutions

There are 3 riddles in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Answering all riddles correctly unlocks the Sage trophy & achievement.

They are red doors that let you pick between two choices. It counts as “correct” when the door opens and you can walk through it. It counts as “wrong” when a black fog appears that teleports you away. Once a door has been opened, it can’t be opened again in this playthrough. The game will immediately autosave when opening the doors.

All riddle doors are missable. The first two riddles disappear after reaching the 4th main region. The third riddle door is unreachable if going for the Successor of the Bo Ending. They don’t carry over into New Game+.

Riddle #1

Worship’s Rise – Corpse Pits
From the Corpse Pits shrine, follow the main path. During the Tang Emperor Palace area you will automatically walk into it, pretty much unmissable. It’s directly on the main path. Just before the boss fights against Tang Palace Maid & Commander – Honglan.

• Correct Answer: The winged ascension
• Wrong Answer: Feathered Transcendence

Riddle #2

Cloudspire – Hillswatch
From the Hillswatch shrine turn around 180° and go over the bridge. The red glowing door will be to your left. This one only contains the Bridal Armor Set.

• Correct Answer: Challenge the threads of fate
• Wrong Answer: Follow the course of destiny

Riddle #3

Bo Capital – Depths of the Capital
To the immediate left of the shrine, interact with the red riddle door.

• Correct Answer: The grand dream fades
• Wrong Answer: The wheel turns anew

Note: giving the correct answer here is required to unlock Sage trophy/achievement. However, giving the wrong answer is needed to reach the hidden shrine “Shrine Dwelling” + Bamboozling + Ending Item “Ring of Samsara – Rebirth” + Secret Boss: Demon of Obsession.

Doing one would lock you out of the other for this playthrough!
The recommended workaround is: back up save > answer correctly to unlock Sage > copy back save > give wrong answer.

Requirement to spawn Demon of Obsession on the wrong answer path: First, make sure you completed the questlines of Fang Yao and He Youzai, then at the end of the 4th region at Reverent Temple they will give you the two pieces of the Ring of Samsara. When talking to Xuanyangzi at the end of the 4th region at Burning Cave shrine, must pick dialogue “Remain Silent” to not give him the chisel. After this you must reach the game’s 5th region Bo Capital, then backtrack to Avian Dwelling to defeat the White-Robed Elder (Eternal Glory – Zhao Yun). Then give the wrong answer at the 3rd riddle gate, but make sure you defeated White-Robed Elder before interacting with it. This will teleport you to a secret area. Now the secret boss “Demon of Obsession” will spawn.
