Reverent Temple is the 1st shrine in Worship’s Rise region. This guide series covers all trophy/achievement relevant items, collectibles, NPC questlines, and bosses to get Platinum & 1000 Gamerscore in one playthrough. There are other non-unique items, all of which can be bought from merchants later in the game (consumables, feathers for weapon upgrades, armor dropped by enemies), and benedictions which aren’t relevant for trophies. Everything becomes missable as the story progresses, especially NPC interactions must be done at the earliest opportunity. This guide is intended for use during the story, if doing anything out of order it can fail questlines and their associated rewards.
Collectibles Overview:
Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
Weapon: Cloudfrost’s Edge (Longswords)
Automatically obtained as your first weapon, after leaving the cave at the start of the game. After the cutscene it will be in your inventory.
Silk Manuscript (Quest Item)
Automatically unlocked after the next cutscene where you meet a man in the basement of Reverent Temple building.
NPC: Qiao Lin + Quest Item: Peachwood Amulet
In the same room where you got the cutscene for the Silk Manuscript (Reverent Temple), talk to the injured man (Qiao Lin) on the floor, he gives you this item, needed to give to another NPC later.
NPC: Yu Xia
In the same building (Reverent Temple), head downstairs and talk to the woman Yu Xia. She tells you to check Shu Sanctum to find something to hold back the Feathering.
NPC: Tao Qing (Merchant for trophy 
Well Traveled)
In the same room (Reverent Temple), talk to Tao Qing at the gate. Exhaust all dialogues. He tells you that Thieves from Annalum stole his painting. You must retrieve his painting. You access Annalum via the side entrance from the stage at Worship’s Rise. Once you have the painting, meet him at Shu Sanctum for the reward. You must fully unlock all of Tao Qing’s stock for the trophy Well Traveled, which is done over the rest of the game.
Donation Box (Pre-Order / Deluxe Edition Items)
In the same room in Reverent Temple, you can find the Donation Box. Any key items you didn’t pick up will automatically be placed there. If you have the Pre-Order Bonus or own the Deluxe Edition, you can find the following items in the box
Pre-Order Bonus: Night Spectre Enhanced Costume Set + White Spectre Enhanced Costume Set + Vermillion War Club (Axe) + Glistening Red Mercury Skill Upgrade Item (Medium)
Deluxe Edition Bonus: 2 Enhanced Costume Sets + 4 Costumes + 5 Weapons + 2 Skill Point Upgrade Items
Shrine: Reverent Temple
Directly after leaving the gate of Reverent Temple it will be in front of you on the main path. You will also get an onscreen prompt about offering blood at the shrine, would be hard to miss.
NPC: Sick People in Tents
From the first shrine, take the left path to find an area with tents behind Reverent Temple. You will hear a woman coughing from a tent. Talk to her. She needs medicine and will give you a Special Pill. Also talk to the man in the other tent, he tells you the Priests at Shu Sanctum may have a cure for the Feathering. He also gives you a Special Pill.
NPC: Boatman + Boss: Bai Kru (Boss Guide)
From the shrine, go down the stairs, on the right you find the Boatman NPC. Talk to him. Afterward you need to fight 2 little enemies and then you get the Bai Kru boss fight, so be ready! Whether you beat the boss or not has no lasting impact, he doesn’t unlock a trophy and isn’t needed for endings or anything else. If you win, you get 5x Red Mercury Essence (skill points), if you lose you get nothing. You only get 1 try at this boss, if you die he disappears. If you want to retry him for fun, you can back up your save before talking to Boatman NPC.
Weapon: Halberd (Axes)
Where you talked to the Boatman NPC, you can now go through the open door on the right of the area. Then you find this as a sparkling item on a corpse on the ground directly on your path.
NPC: Young Boy
From where you found the Halberd, go up the path on the right, up the hill. At the end of the path you will find a little child dancing. Get close to the barrier until the “Talk” prompt appears.
NPC: He Youzai (Items: 1x Cornucopia Elixir + 1x Bamboo Lantern)
In the same area, follow the path down towards the river, on the left side of the path you’ll see a man. Exhaust his dialogues. He tells you that you have a sister called Bai Yu… and you learn that you have memory loss from the Feathering. He gives you 1x Cornucopia Elixir + 1x Bamboo lantern. Note: this NPC moves to a different location after this.
Jade Pendant: Gourd Pendant (+1 in NG+)
After talking to He Youzai, follow the path forward and keep going straight up the hill (don’t take the left path). At the top of the path you find a single enemy with a shield. Kill him, he drops the first Jade Pendant. This is the mandatory main story path so you basically can’t miss this enemy.
NPC: Red-Clad Lady + 1x Full-Grown Red Mercury
Keep going up the path and you’ll find a girl sitting on the left, overlooking the river. Exhaust her dialogues, she comments on the status of your Feathering. She gives 1x Full-Grown Red Mercury. Note: this NPC moves to a different location after this.
Shrine: Buddha Cliffs
After going to the top of the scaffolding (main path) you will automatically run into this shrine, it’s directly on the main story path, practically can’t miss it.
