The Forbidden Lands is the 4th shrine in Bo Capital region of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. This page also contains Gate of Truth shrine, it is the final area in the game.

Bo Capital – The Forbidden Lands

Return to the open area with the big white tree where you collected the two halves of the Solbird Shard. Go up the stairs at the end of the area (in the middle behind the white tree). Use the Solbird Shards on the floor plate to trigger a cutscene, it will open the gate and create a bridge. Then go through the big gate and follow the path to reach the next shrine.

Shrine: Bo Capital – The Forbidden Lands
After using the two Solbird Shard pieces to open the big gate, follow the path through the gate to reach this on the main path leading to the final boss.

Damaged Token (Quest Item)
On the path leading to the door.

Boss: Feathery Ambition – Xuanyangzi (Boss Guide)
Through the door at the end of the path. Storyteller can be summoned for this boss.
Rewards: Plumed Grace (One-Handed Sword), Jade Pendant: Unknown Meat, Benediction: Fa – Blood Magic, Spell: Echo of Xuangyangzi. If you followed the guide this should be your last pendant and unlocks :silver: Pendant Gatherer.

DON’T INTERACT WITH THE BIG GATE AFTER THE ENDBOSS YET (TRIGGERS ENDING)!

Bo Capital – Gate of Truth

Shrine: Bo Capital – Gate of Truth
Appears in the boss arena after it is defeated. If you followed the guide it will be your last shrine and unlocks :bronze: Radiant Faith.

–> SAVE BACKUP #4 (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Upload or Delete from Console Storage > Upload to Cloud Storage > Overwrite -> in previous menu click Sync Saved Data = DISABLED so it doesn’t automatically overwrite your cloud save)

ENDING: Dream’s Sweet Deceit (True Best Ending)
Now interact with the gate left of the shrine. It should say “Enter the Realm of Dreams” and then “No turning back”. You will get the Dream’s Sweet Deceit Ending if: you defeated White-Robed Elder (Eternal Glory – Zhao Yun) before opening the third riddle gate > gave wrong answer at riddle gate (The Wheel Turns Anew) to reach secret area > defeated Demon of Obsession boss > crafted the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth & have it in your inventory.

–> REVERT TO SAVE BACKUP #4 (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Download or Delete from Cloud Storage > Download)
You will respawn at the final shrine after the endboss.

ENDING: Bound by Fate’s Threads (Good Ending)
After reloading your save, open your inventory and consume the ring you crafted: Ring of Samsara – Rebirth.
Now interact with the ending gate again. This time it will say “Enter the Realm of Truth”. It will unlock the final ending.

If you followed the guide exactly, you will now unlock the Platinum trophy Fallen Feathers. You will be sent directly into New Game+, there’s no free-roam after the story. If you missed anything, don’t worry! Everything respawns in New Game+. Since you’ll already know the game it can be finished within a couple of hours. NG+ has new “+” versions of Pendants that are stronger but these aren’t needed for trophies.

    • It’s in the guide on Zhenwu Antechamber. If you skip stuff that’s in the guide then don’t be surprised if you miss out on trophies.
      (You can also figure this out in 5 seconds by using the site’s search function and entering the item name)

    • Had the same but it’s a bug i think. I got the object, but can’t give it to wu gang. I don’t know why, it’s just bad luck.

      But in ng+ you can rush the object (don’t need to do the second zone i think) and give it immediatly to wu gang and you should unlock the trophy

  3. Hey PowerPyx guys!

    In 5-3 there’s a note that second-to-final benediction gate is THE final. Soon after, there’s another in the guide. It gave me a scare when trophy didn’t pop 🙂

    Other than that I’m so glad you guys are providing such high quality guides day-one. Amazing job! I was able to plat this in just one playthrough thanks to you!

    • Ah yeah I had optimized the order on those last two Benediction Gates last minute, that’s why the note about it being the “final” one was accidentally left in. Good spotting, fixed that now.

  5. Thank you so much for the guide! I completed all achievements on Steam, but the final ‘Complete all achievements’ didn’t pop up. Does anyone know what could be the issue?

  8. Absolutely amazing guide! I dont know how you figured out some of these endings, especially the Realm of Dreams ending.. smashed out plat in 29hrs and had a blast doing it. Thanks! You’re always my one stop shop for platinum trophies.

    P.s. I left a comment on another page about an item disappearing after dying opening a chest, I shouldn’t believe the internet when they say it was a bug. It was just in the donation box at the refugee camp.

    • Your comment just saved me a few more hours of play… I died from the red bird before being able to retrieve the item from the chest and it was impossible to retrieve it again, so when I went to the box, the item was indeed present.

  9. I followed the guide, unlocked everything but the last achievement “Fallen Feathers” which is getting all the achievements. I have 39/40 and followed the guide to a T. Also followed the backups exactly how its writen in the guide.

  12. Having followed somw guides from other users from games recently, it’s nice to see one as well polished and concise as this one. Really well done considering how easy it is to miss things and make a wrong choice, nicely done!

    I do have some choice words for Honglan, but it was managable otherwise, lol.

  13. Great guide! I wonder about a few things, like the Glut token and lack of follow up on Matchstick, or the death of Yu Xia. Would be interesting to see if there was any better outcomes that are possible for the non-trophy NPCs since they seem too random.

    Also, you recommend to give Yu Xia the wrong item! Neither one saves her, but you give up a free Feather with your recommendation.

    • The guide actually misses resolving the entire children’s storyline. You can find Matchstick’s grandmother up the small ramp before the bridge leading to the Mort Grotto caves, on the right side of the Outskirts.

      If you give the urn she gives you to Matchstick, he will move on with Glut (assuming Glut lived and reunited with the other kids instead of seeking his master) at the Refugee camp.

      Go to the Avian Marsh shrine and take the ladder shortcut up and then hug the right wall until you find a slightly tougher than normal one of those green poison spewing enemies. There are two collectibles there that you can take with you.

      After you’ve healed the Butler, you will reunited with group at the Ferry Overlook where you can give Shen Jiang’an the collectibles from the Avian Marsh. Talk to her and the Butler, then go rest at the shrine. If resting isn’t working, you might have to teleport out entirely and then come back. Eventually they will all board a boat to leave for safety and you’ll get the Butler’s armor set.

  14. Thanks for your great work. Almost 100% after this because I missed out some jade pendants in the area which is now closed. Same for the bamboozle. My fault. I was playing blind at the beginning instead of following your guide directly. For the bamboozles I think I now must play almost until the end once more.

  16. Thank you for this guide, great work. Did 1st playthrough blind and followed everything here for the NG+ to get all achievements.

    Regarding the “Fallen Feathers” bugged achievement:
    You actually need all achievements across all your savefiles, which means you cannot replace your savefile on one unique saveslot. How I did it on PC/Steam:
    – In the “GameSlots” folder, create folders named “maingame1”, “maingame2”, “maingame3”
    – Place your backup saves (files inside the “maingame0” folder) made from this guide in these folders, and rename them with the according digit (eg: files in the maingame2 folder need to be named maingame2.sav, maingame2.sav.bk and maingame2.sav.bkA)
    – You need at least 4 slots: Bo ending / 3 correct riddles + bad ending / True ending / Good ending. Can do 5 slots if you do the 3 riddles and bad ending separately, as this guide suggests.

    Now, you just need to load each save and trigger each ending/achievement conditions (need to beat Bo magus again for Bo ending since you can’t save after you beat her), and the “Fallen Feathers” should pop.

    • are you playing on pc game pass or steam ?

      because when i create maingame1, maingame2 folder, the game just sync with the cloudsaves and overwrite my folder…

      (i play on pc game pass)

  33. I cannot imagine how hard this was to put together… Thank you so much for this! I disabled all adblockers and had the website opened multiple hours a day for quite some time, this might be nothing, but wanted to give something back.

    Now I only need to find a few bamboozles and I’m done with the trophy. This was a really great game!

  42. If you have Xbox and pc with gamepass ultimate you can manipulate saves in a way.

    1. Play on Xbox until guide says to backup your save. Save and quit.

    2. Start up game on PC. Continue. Exit which saves game locally and cloud.

    3. On Xbox do the ending you want. Quit game (saving doesn’t matter).

    4. Load game again on PC. You will be asked if you want to load from local or from cloud. Hit escape to load local. You will now be where you were when you first swapped from console to PC.

    5. Now you can quit from PC which saves when you do it from menu. Now load up on the Xbox and you’ll be back before you did the ending.

    I spent hours researching how to copy and backup saves on pc specifically for this game. While it is possible, it made me nervous to delete my game and hope the file I had backed up worked. Because once Pc is loaded it saves to cloud. I was ready to do 3 playthroughs but discovered this while trying to mess around on the pc version. (Three because it appears you can do the two good endings at once by dashboarding). Still need to do another run for the first ending but hopefully all achievements unlocked will work out.

    • After completing the game using this method on gamepass, can confirm you do need multiple play through as reverting will undo your ending for the fallen feathers achievement

    • You can get this in 1 playthrough now with this method. One of the latest patches on Xbox fixed the fallen feathers achievement to unlock like it does on PS5 with backup save tricks like this one.

      I used the method below which I got from TrueAchievements (credit to GodOfFighters), its a more cautious version but does exactly the same.

      – Start the game on PC at the point when you want to do the save. the pc will do a local save.

      – Close the game and shut down the pc or disconnect the internet to the PC, so it won’t do any further syncro.(just to be safe)

      – Play the game on xbox until you have the achievement/ending. then log out. do the save delete BOTH from console and cloud.

      – Start the game on PC and it will do a cloud synchro with it’s old save automatically.

      – Switch to your console and continue the game from the PC save.

  50. Neat guide. I played blind my first playthru and the majority (or all) of the collectionist achievements popped as soon as I collect the missing items (e.g. 16 bamboozlings on NG and 4 regardless of order on NG+, 48 shrines on NG and just the missing 2 on NG+, so on so forth)

  51. I did a blind playthrough first, then followed the guide in on NG+. Got everything without any issues. Great guide, can’t imagine the amount of work it was to figure out how to do everything in one playthrough.
