Introduction
Welcome to the Astro Bot Trophy Guide! Astro Bot is a bigger version of Astro’s Playroom. It’s a PlayStation-themed 3D Platformer for all ages and skill levels. For Platinum you will need 100% Completion: there are 80 levels, 300 Bots, 120 Puzzle Pieces, 10 Lost Galaxies (Secret Level Exits). There are also 169 Gatcha Items which you can buy for 100 gold coins each, but only 150 of them are required for trophies. The levels are quite short, lasting around 5-10 minutes. All collectibles are available from the first playthrough of each level, but you can always replay the levels as often as you like if you missed anything. You can hover over the levels to see how many collectibles you found and how many you are missing.
Step 1: 100% Completion Playthrough (All 300 Bots, 120 Puzzle Pieces, 10 Lost Galaxies, 150 Gatcha Pieces)
For platinum you need 100% completion. Play through the story and collect everything along the way: 300 Bots, 120 Puzzle Pieces, 10 Secret Level Exits (Lost Galaxies Wormholes). You will also need 15,000 gold coins to buy 150 Gatcha Items so pick up any gold coins you see and defeat enemies you come across. You will get around 15,000 gold coins automatically while going for 100% completion.
You need almost all bots for story progression anyway, they are needed to unlock the boss fight in each Nebula. There are 5 main Nebulas, each with 6-7 main levels, and a few side levels which are unlocked by flying into objects with the spaceship inside the Nebulas. Each level shows how many collectibles it has and how many you still need. Finding Puzzle Pieces unlocks new areas in the hub area ‘Crash Site’.
If you don’t want to replay levels, the most efficient way is to collect everything on the first run. Follow the Astro Bot 100% Walkthrough (Collectible Guide). This also has all level-specific trophies. If you replay levels, you can buy a satellite at the start for coins that marks the collectible locations, but since you need 15,000 coins for the gatcha items this would result in additional level replays to make up for the spent coins.
Step 2: Rescue Special Master Bot (True Final Level)
After having found all 120 Puzzle Pieces, you unlock the ‘Golden Statue’ in the Crash Site hub area. There you will need all 300 Bots to build a wall you can run up to the game’s final level ‘Great Master Challenge’. This is a little platforming level. At the end you will unlock the Special Master Bot for The Golden Bot.
Step 3: Miscellaneous Trophies Cleanup
After having obtained all 300 Bots and at least 150 Gatcha Items, you can quickly clean up the miscellaneous trophies. Most of them take place in the Crash Site hub area and require specific bots and their gatcha items. Now that you have everything unlocked you can clean these up within a few minutes.

Money Well Spent Earned 150 prizes from the Gatcha Lab. |
||
Once you found any 16 Puzzle Pieces, you will unlock the Gatcha Lab in the main hub area (Crash Site). Enter the Gatcha Lab and interact with the claw machine to pull out rewards.
Each play at the claw machine costs 100 gold coins. You will need at least 15,000 gold coins to play 150 times. More and more rewards will be added to the machine the more bots you rescue. There are 169 gatcha prizes total but you only need 150 for Platinum. Sometimes you might draw an empty soda can which costs 100 coins but doesn’t give a reward, because of this you might need slightly more than 15,000 coins total to get 150 prizes. After you’ve found all bots & puzzle pieces you should be close to 15,000 coins. If you are missing any, simply replay levels, defeat all enemies in them and grab all coins. Also get the +100 coins rewards chests at the end of levels when flying out with the controller. It counts the same coins again on each replay of a level. The levels give comparable amounts, around 300-400 coins each. If you die at checkpoints it resets your coins to what you had at the last checkpoint (except coins from certain chests/enemies that don’t respawn after death, which you keep). Hence this can’t be farmed by respawning at checkpoints. Levels only take 3-4 minutes if you rush through them so it works out to about 100 coins per minute. An efficient level to farm is “Danger Dojo” in the Lost Galaxy, it has a good amount of enemies and high-value chests and a +100 bonus chest at the end when you fly out. But if you are missing a lot of coins it’s more fun to replay different levels. |

Very fun platinum hunt, hope you enjoy 🙂
Max says
Did you import the special bots from the first game btw? Just in case it messes with the plat
Mohsin says
Very cool, you’re the best
PowerPyx says
@Max: I didn’t try importing bots (didn’t have the save anymore). So not sure.
MidnightDragonDX says
I can confirm the extra bots don’t mess with the platinum requirements.
Snake2410 says
The oy thing the extra 4 bots do is allow you to skip 4 challenge levels if you want to do the final challenge early. You’d still eventually need to get those 4 bots you skipped though, since each cluster has a trophy for all bots. So it’s not really going to save any time or anything.
PhantomFear94 says
Extremely excited for this. Thanks for the roadmap! Reviewing very well, hope you enjoyed too!
Anonymous says
Thank you for the trophy guide. As expected, the Platinum trophy is easy, which makes sense for a game like this, but I would have preferred it to take 20 hours to earn (although 15 hours is fine).
David says
thanks for the guide, legend!
Dro Mora says
Thank you for the awesome guide as always! This seems like a fun and straightforward list. Just curious, what makes this a 3/10 difficulty as opposed to a 1 or a 2?
PowerPyx says
Only a few of the platforming levels can be slightly tricky and take a few tries, hence 3/10. Particularly the final level “Great Master Challenge”, and one called “Splashing Sprint”.
But compared to other platformers this is nothing too crazy.
B says
I’m on Splashing Sprint now. That level is really testing my patience, and not in a good way. Lol. Great game though! As always, thanks for the guide.
Killbomb says
It’s a 4 in my opinion. Several of the challenge levels are going to take most people quite a few tries to complete. A 3 to me is a game where you might die a few times but nothing takes a bunch of retries.
Jake says
Will definitely do a complete run and enjoy the game, then replay to have all bots.
Gediminas says
one of the greatest platformes creator ever. easily favorite along side of FF7RR to get most GOTYs
Jeff says
A couple of these challenge stages are actually more difficult than I expected from this game. It isn’t impossible but definitely an actual challenge at times compared to the rest of the game.
Jarred says
The lost square, circle, cross and triangle worlds are definitely the stages with difficulty spikes. The game is perfectly balanced & its a nice touch.
Jolkien says
I seem to have bricked my run somehow, I’m at 10/11 Puzzle Pieces and I went through every single location, I didn’t miss a single one, must’ve had one that didn’t count and I did not notice.
PowerPyx says
Make sure you grab the 1 puzzle piece in each galaxy (space map) that’s flying around. Where you fly with the spaceship and select the levels, each galaxy has 1 puzzle piece on the space map that’s not hidden inside the levels.
Jolkien says
Figured I would let it written here, Turns out I did not have the strike in 1 throw with the ball in Crash Site that was my missing puzzle piece, I remember knocking them down with the ball but over multiple shots.
I’m glad I was the problem. Platinum acquired. Great guide, and an awesome game. Thanks for everything you do PowerPyx for the community.
ImAPirateSoSueMe says
You can actually get to the top of the Motherboard with only 4 parts. I did it before getting the 5th.
King Amanj says
Absolute Banger Game!
Last Level Challenge Kick my But took me over +50 Tries though I got so frustrated but still love this adorable game!
DVFOX says
Done in 10 hours. If you’re missing 3 bots outta the ones from the mandatory ones, one is at the top right/bottom right island from the HUB , where you unplug a water source. Get on the water and you’ll see the STRAY cat. The last 2 are in the SAFARI PARK , one on top of a tree and the other at the ice top.
Please note that these 3 bots are inside EGGS
Nikki_boagreis says
The challenge levels are a huge increase in difficulty, certain challenge missions have pretty bad level design and having no checkpoints is what makes the challenge missions take all the fun out of the game.
RAF says
its not a bad level desing just need to know mechanics and observe whats going on
RAF says
SPLASHING SPRINT
You can throw a duck at a rocket frog
At the burners, clean the ground with water
Approach the duck one step at a time until the slime ghosts pop up
Duck has respawn
You can throw ducks at ghosts
Clean all the way from black slime by throwing ducks
Before you move after clearing the road, run in circles by the burners, Astro will gain momentum and run faster – you will escape the burners without a problem
