Didn’t Want to Join Up? is a Main Story Mission in Days Gone. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the “What Kept Me Going” Main Quest.
Storyline: Protecting the Weak
Objectives:
- Locate Marauder Area
- Find and Rescue Ethan Ross
Didn’t Want to Join Up? Starting Location
This mission will unlock after the end of You Can’t Be Replaced. This mission starts in Lake Crater.
Locate Marauder Area
Go to Wizard Lake Camp and talk to Colonel Garret. He wants you to go and kill some Rippers. Ride to the mission marker to enter a new investigation area. Interact with the corpse lying next to a bus for your first clue.
Next, follow the white dots on your mini map to continue on in your investigation.
Find and Rescue Ethan Ross
Keep running forward until you reach the borders of the Marauders’ Camp. The camp is well defended and almost impenetrable, were it not for a small hole you can squeeze through on one of the fences west of the barricaded entrance.
To get to the hole in the fence, run east around the camp. You’ll flank a stream. Just keep going around the camp and you’ll find the hole in the fence in no time.
Once inside, eliminate all Marauders. You’ll find Ethan tied to a wooden post near the centre of the camp. Ethan will make his way back to camp on his own and our mission is complete.

Anyone have this mission bugged? At me Ethan is not on his place, despite an arrow above the place where he should be. I’m trying for days now to somehow fix it, no luck unfortunately

I tried to restart the game and suicides but didnt help at all . Enjoying game but horrible glitches and bugs around . ??

finished with everything but this mission,
the game wont let me continue the Marauder camp storyline because of that..

Finished everything but this one and it’s really frustrating after all this effort the only thing that’s keeping me from platinum IS A BUG!

5|20|19 10:00 am This mission is still bugged. Cleared camp, Rescued the hostage, returned to Kouri and it says job in process, map still shows the mission to be completed.
In my theory I believe this was caused due to doing other missions before this one, and not doing it right off the bat. I left it for the colonel’s call (bible) and Obrian’s (reacher/hoard). I also believe I did the hoard mission with Kouri before this one, which this one was first. This just my theory! Either way this goes to the list of other bugs within the game. #bendstudio #sonybendstudio #daysgone #glitch #ps4

1. Close the PS4 Days Gone application.
2. Run game again.
3. Load game (Save made BEFORE start the mission)
4. Start mission again (find body next to the bus)
