It Was The Only Way is a Main Story Mission in Days Gone. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the “It Was The Only Way” Main Quest.

Reward: none

Objectives:

Head to the Transportation Complex
Enter the Transportation Building
Clear all Newts
Open the Door for Skizzo
Search to Office for Detonator Cords
Leave the Transportation Building

It Was The Only Way Starting Location

This mission will become available shortly after talking to Addy in the Infirmary about Boozer’s Mental Health. The recent episode where Boozer risked his life for a dog opened their eyes what might be good for him to cope with his physical disability.

Enter Building & Clear Newts

Now, we are actually close to the Building with the Det Cord – time to get it done!
Skizzo heads into the small Building, not expecting any trouble…

… where he is wrong, of course. A few Freakers attack, but no major issues.

The bigger issue appear to be about a dozen Newts in the Warehouse itself, where you are on your own.

Toggle Survival Vision to see, which Newts are close by and should be taken care of immediately. Most of them will actually hang on the shelves or the walls and are no imminent threat.

Once you have killed all Newts, you can open the door for Skizzo.

Enter the Office together and you will find what you have been looking for.
