Sherlock Holmes Chapter One The Ghost-Hunter Walkthrough

The Ghost-Hunter is a Cordona Story in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Ghost-Hunter side quest.

Starting Borough: Silverton
Starting Location: A few meters east of Drinking Dutchman fast travel point at Bazar Rd, from a poster
Quest Giver: None, automatically starts when going to the docks entrance near Drinking Dutchman fast travel point for the first time
Requirement: None, simply find the quest start in the open world
Reward: 15 Money
Case Info: I noticed a strange placard in Silverton that mentions a ghost.

Starting Location: The Ghost-Hunter

The Ghost-Hunter Cordona Story starts in Borough: Silverton, Place: Drinking Dutchman fast travel point.

Interact with the yellow poster just a few meters east of Drinking Dutchman fast travel point, at the entrance to the docks.

Objective: The Ghost Poster

Start by pinning “The Ghost Poster” objective in your casebook. In this quest you will need to reconstruct what happened to the ghost hunter and find where he lives.

1) Go downstairs to the docks, see the location below. Then interact with the yellow ghost poster that’s knocked over on the floor. (Note: alternatively, you could first talk to people in the streets to point you to this location but this is optional and you can head straight there).

2) There are 3 clues to inspect – broken glass, blood on floor, knocked over poster sign.

3) Now a white circle outline will appear. Use your concentration mode :r1: / :rb: to focus on it. First you need to focus on a table, then a monster to the right, then the fighting men at the table, then the ghost hunter on the ground.

 

Objective: The Hunter Becomes the Hunted

4) Pin the new objective “The Hunter Becomes the Hunted”. You must now track down where the ghost hunter lives. To do this, again enter concentration mode :r1: / :rb: and look for the footprints of him, opposite of the table where he was on the floor (a few meters south). The exact starting point of the tracks is below. There will be 2 white lines showing the way. Just follow these to the end and collect the clues (white circles) along the way, all of which are in the images below as well (footprints, blood, vomit, alcohol bottles, cork, broken bottle).

 

5) The tracks end a few meters south of the intersection between Bazaar Rd and Ebernote St, at a wooden shack. Walk through the wooden door, it’s already unlocked.

 

6) Inside, interact with the 4 clues on the table – alcohol, money, poster, flute (inspect the bottom and side of flute).

After collecting all 4 clues the case is clear: The “ghost hunter” himself was the “ghost” and scared people at night by dressing up as a monster and making loud sounds with his customized flute. He did this because he wanted easy money to buy alcohol, so after scaring people at night he acted as a ghost hunter at day and promised them to get rid of the ghost for payment. The crowd found out and gave him a beating.

The case is solved and ends right there, no need to confront the man, we satisfied Sherlock’s curiosity.
