Days Gone has a very long story that takes between 60 – 80 hours to complete. In such a long game you may wonder if there is Free Roam After the Story?
The answer is YES, after the story you can continue to play in free roam and go back to all regions and camps. Nothing is missable. You can still roam around the map after the story and finish up what you’ve missed.
There is one minor exception; a story-related Ripper Camp in the 4th region Iron Butte will be flooded after the story so you can’t get back into that camp (but the rest of that region is fully accessible). Luckily this doesn’t void any trophies.
It’s also worth noting that at the end of the third region Lost Lake you’ll hit a point of no return. This is about halfway through the story. Here the game tells you that previously visited regions and camps get locked. There’s another point of no return after the 5th region Crater Lake.
What the game doesn’t tell you is that everything becomes available again AFTER the story. So don’t worry, just keep playing and after you’re done with the story you can still do all Encampment Jobs to reach Trust Level 3 with camps, defeat Hordes, find Collectibles, Ambush Camps, Nero Checkpoints, Infestations and so on. You’re only temporarily getting locked out of some regions.

Rudy just keep playing after the story line and you can carry on and keep collecting your upgrades and whatever else you need, plus you can always go back to select another mission if you didn’t finish it ?

When will there be a dlc package with extra missions
John says
I’ve completed every mission. I haven’t seen a specific ending. It just seems to go on forever. I’ve tried everything, and I just want to see an ending. I don’t know what to do.
