The Five Teachings is a mythic tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Five Teachings mythic side quest.

Unrivaled + Weapon Kit (Gilded Night & Gilded Dawn) + completes Unfinished Business: Duel the Unrivaled - Quest Info: I’m ready to meet Takezo at the top of the world. I only need to equip his five Charms and wait at the campfire atop Mount Yotei.
Objectives:
- Wait atop Mount Yotei after equipping all five of Takezo’s Charms
- Defeat Takezo the Unrivalled
Starting Location: The Five Teachings
This quest takes place on the summit of Mount Yotei. To reach it, you must take the Shrine Path from Mount Yotei Shrine, in the west of Yotei Grasslands:
If you’ve already completed Mount Yotei Shrine, you can fast travel to the top. If not, you have a long climb ahead. Once you reach the top, interact with the note that’s pinned to the swords next to the campfire:
Wait atop Mount Yotei after equipping all five of Takezo’s Charms
Equip the five Takezo Charms that you got from the previous Dueling Trees. If you can’t equip 5 charms yet, you must first gain more charm slots by collecting other charms from Fox Dens & Shrine Climbs. The more total charms you collect, the more charm slots you will unlock. You must equip these 5 Takezo Charms:
- Takezo’s Charm of Renewed Determination
- Takezo’s Charm of Bold Deflection
- Takezo’s Charm of Stout Heart
- Takezo’s Charm of Bracing Victory
- Takezo’s Charm of Unrelenting Warrior
Then rest at the campfire at the top of Mount Yotei.
Defeat Takezo the Unrivalled
Walk over to Takezo and choose to duel him. You will freeze over time, reducing your maximum health. However, it won’t fully run out.
After defeating him, it will complete the quest and you unlock 
Unrivaled. This also completes Unfinished Business: Duel the Unrivaled.
This finishes The Five Teachings in Ghost of Yotei.

You need to have collected enough charms to be able to equip five. I collected all of Takezos charms – but if you need to also have five slots unlocked first.

This dude is nuts on lethal. Beware, you might want to turn down the difficulty, or use custom settings, if you’re going for him on lethal. Or you can just cheese him with disarm attacks and quickfire weapons.
