Introduction

Welcome to the Beast of Reincarnation Trophy Guide! This game tells the story of Emma and her dog companion Koo and takes place in Japan 2000 years in the future after an apocalyptic scenario took place. The game world is divided into multiple, smaller semi-open world areas, each with its own exploration and a boss. You will be able to return to each area after leaving it, so nothing is missable. Campsites act similar to bonfires in soulslikes and you will return to them after dying and can refresh your resources at them, but there is no punishment for dying.

The trophy list is pretty straightforward. Finish the game twice, find all collectibles, get every skill, and upgrade all weapons.

Step 1: First Playthrough & Collectibles [20 Hours]

Play through the story and follow the Beast of Reincarnation Collectible Guide to find everything along the way. You will need all 323 Collectibles for Platinum. There are no difficulty-related trophies, so you can play on Easy if you like.

You can get every collectible on your first run except for one blade which you will get at the start of New Game+.

After defeating the final boss, you can save the game and the savefile will get a star next to it. You can then still free-roam to all areas after the ending to clean up anything you need, so nothing is missable. When you’re done with cleanup, use your post-game save to start New Game+.

Step 2: Second Playthrough (New Game+) [10 Hours]

Use your finished story save to start the 2nd playthrough in New Game+. This forces you to play a new difficulty called “Reincarnation+” which is comparable to Normal difficulty from the first playthrough.

Step 3: Reach Level 100, get all the Skills, get all Weapon Upgrades [1 Hour]

After finishing the game twice, you will most likely be somewhere between level 60 to 70. There is a great farming spot for XP in the Crater Zone. Head to the Crater: Outskirt in the middle of the map and from there head west into the big crater. A Whitered Beast will spawn there and killing it will grant you a lot of experience each time. After defeating it, teleport back to the Campsite, rest and repeat the process until you reach Level 100.

After reaching Level 100, save the game, invest your skill points to pop one of the skill upgrade trophies, reload the save to get the skill points back and pop the next skill trophy.

After 2 playthroughs, you should also have enough money (called Amber) to fully upgrade all weapons. They only cost money, not materials. Again you can save the game, sell everything you have, buy the weapon upgrades, reload your save to get the money back.

Beast of Reincarnation Trophy Guide

Duty Fulfilled
Obtain every trophy.
Earn all other trophies in Beast of Reincarnation to unlock Platinum (no DLC required).
Blademaster
Fully upgraded all of Emma’s Blade Arts and Finishers.
Some Blade Arts, Finishers, and Skills are only unlocked during the 2nd playthrough in New Game+. You won’t be able to unlock this or the other skill-related trophies in the first playthrough (the 4 trophies listed below).

Both Emma’s and Koo’s Skill Trees are divided into 2 sections: the roots and the tree itself.

For trophy Blademaster (Emma) and trophy Floral Profusion (Koo), you will only need to get all the skills in the tree section and get all the upgrades for each of them. At level 100 you will have enough Skill Points to unlock all skills for either Emma or Koo and most of the other character’s skills.

An easy trick is to save the game, get one of the trophies, reload the savefile and get the other trophy afterward.

For trophy Giant Tree Budburst (Emma) and trophy Giant Tree in Bloom (Koo), you will instead need to get all the skills in the root section of the skill tree and also the base level of every skill in the tree section. Once again save and reload to pop both trophies, thus you don’t need to grind more levels for skill points.

Floral Profusion
Fully upgrade all of Koo’s Bloom Arts.
See trophy Blademaster.
Life After the End
Reach the ending of the game.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks when finishing the story.
The End of Reincarnation
Defeat the Beast of Reincarnation.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks when finishing the story.
Blade Enthusiast
Fully upgrade every blade.
You will need to upgrade all 21 Swords to +3. Upgrades simply cost Amber (money). All but one are available on your first playthrough, the final one will only be in your inventory on New Game+ after beating the game once.

Munitions Master
Fully upgrade every ranged weapon, arrow type, and bolt type.
There are 2 Ranged Weapons (Bow & Crossbow, both automatic story unlocks), 6 Arrow Types, 6 Bolts.

Every arrow and bolt type can be upgraded to +14, with 7 levels each going both towards element and quiver. The upgrades cost Amber (money) and are much more expensive than fully upgrading all blades. You will need around 700,000+ Amber to fully upgrade everything. You should leave it for late New Game+, save your game, sell everything you have, get the upgrades necessary and reload your save to get your Amber back. By the time you’ve reached Level 100 in New Game+ you should have enough Amber by selling everything from your inventory.

The 6 Arrows and 6 Bolts require finding their Manuals, which you also need for trophy Manual Maniac:

Bestie
Reach maximum rapport with Kagura.
See trophy Closest Companion.
Closest Companion
Reach maximum rapport with Koo.
Both Koo’s and Kagura’s maximum rapport level is 10. Rapport mechanics will be introduced to you early in the story. Simply keep talking to them in the Cleanse Walker, clean up Koo in the shower, and have them finish their respective research projects. You progress the research projects by getting experience in battle, which will go toward your active projects. When one research project is done it will automatically switch to the next one. You will reach maximum rapport pretty quickly in your progress.

After finishing the game twice (New Game & New Game+), you will most likely be somewhere between level 60 and 70. There is a great farming spot for XP in the Crater Zone. Reincarnated
Clear new game+.
New Game+ is unlocked after finishing the game once. This forces you to play a new difficulty called “Reincarnation+” which is comparable to Normal difficulty from the first playthrough. If you did the first playthrough on Easy, the difficulty increase will feel more noticeable, but if you did the first run on Normal it won’t feel much different.

Degeneration
Reset your attribute points for the first time.
You unlock the ability to reset your attribute points during the second region, Ancient Civilization Zone. You gain the ability to call the character Mikoto who will reset Emma or Koo’s attribute points and SP in exchange for Amber, allowing you to distribute them again however you would like. Once you do this for the first time you will unlock this trophy.

If you don’t plan to actively use this ability and only need to do it for the trophy, you can manually save your game at the bed in the Cleanse Walker, then reset either Emma or Koo’s attributes, then return to the title screen and load your manual save to undo the reset.

The Sealer
Defeat 300 malefacts.
There are 2 main enemy types in the game: malefacts and golems. Malefacts are all the animal-like creatures and golems are the robots. After defeating 300 of the malefacts the trophy will unlock.
Repose for the Departed
Defeat 300 golems.
There are 2 main enemy types in the game: malefacts and golems. Malefacts are all the animal-like creatures and golems are the robots. After defeating 300 of the robot type enemies the trophy will unlock.
Busy Paws
Make items with Koo 30 times.
You can equip Koo with passive abilities which he will perform automatically. You can have him throw incense at you, heal you, create mines, etc. For that he will use resources you find throughout the game.

The trophy will unlock naturally as long as you equip Koo with any ability that use recources.

Snack Time
Feed Koo a treat for the first time.
While in the open world, press  to bring up your inventory where you can consume food that fills Emma and Koo’s hunger bars. You can do this for the first time after unlocking the Rapport feature with Koo to earn this trophy.
Knowing Me, Knowing You
Have a deep talk with Kagura for the first time.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.

This trophy unlocks automatically while progressing through the first region of the game, when you are called back to the Cleanse Walker to speak with Kagura.

Man’s Best Friend
Have a deep talk with Koo for the first time.
After advancing the story to unlock the Rapport feature and the ability to sleep, you will be able to choose the option “Talk” when interacting with Koo. This gives unique dialogue and expands on Emma and Koo’s relationship, further increasing rapport. The first time you perform this action you will be awarded this trophy.
Horror in the Sky
Look at the crescent moon.
At any time look directly up into the sky toward the crescent-shaped object, and keep the camera there until your character dies.
Entangled
Entangle with Koo for the first time.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.

This trophy is awarded automatically during the second flashback story sequence, at the end of the cutscene before fighting the malefact boss. You can use the Entangle ability before this point, but the trophy unlocks specifically from this point in the story when it occurs.

Purifier’s Mantle
Obtain the Purifier’s outfit.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.

This trophy is awarded automatically after the prologue of the game, once you gain access to the first open world area.

Blight-Touched
Enhance an attribute for the first time.
Simply enhance an attribute for either Koo or Emma after leveling up once.
Rangifer’s End
Defeat Rangifer.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.

Every boss fight in the game follows a similar pattern in combat. The enemy will attack you with moves you are required to parry, unless the attack has a red glow in which case you have to dodge it.

Koo’s moves are always an indicator of which element the boss is weak to, since it will say “weak” next to Koo’s attacks if the boss is weak to a specific element. Later in the game, as well as in New Game+, all bosses can be defeated very quickly with a specific combo, explained below:

If you want to defeat the bosses very quickly use the following setup: (not available immediately from starting the game, but can be abused in late game and for the entire New Game+ playthrough)

  • Equip the following stones with Emma: Entanglement Stone 3, Double-Edged Sword 3, Entangled Combo 3 and 2, and whatever you like for the last 2 slots (Final Infusion and Entangled Conquest are good).
  • Level up skills Kiku and Kiku Finisher for Emma for maximum damage
  • As soon the fight starts use Higanbana Roots (use Resonance Mod on it) with Koo to keep the enemy in place.
  • With Emma use following combo: :r1: :r1: :square: :square: :square: and enjoy the show.

The second :square: input starts Kiku which does ridiculous damage and the third one performs Kiku Finisher. The stone and mod setup will let you start a fight with more than enough Entanglement Gauge to perform the combo at the start of each fight. Afterward, just perform some parries to repeat the process.

Lacerta’s End
Defeat Lacerta.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Refer to trophy Rangifer’s End for an easy combat method.
Ursa’s End
Defeat Ursa.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Refer to trophy Rangifer’s End for an easy combat method.

Trophies are becoming meaningless, you cant call it a platinum trophy if you can achieve it on the easiest difficulty…

As always powerpyx, Thanks for the effort

It doesn’t really matter though does it when you think about it..

I have the platinum on some really tough games like Predator hunting grounds but I don’t care if someone is getting a platinum for hello kitty island adventure or any other game for that matter lol

How did you enjoy this game? I am conflicted on whether this will be for me or not. I enjoyed Stellar Blade a lot but previews have been a bit mixed and the embargo being on release concerns me a bit (not always the best measure I appreciate).

Should be ready tonight or tomorrow. We’ve found everything, just editing the guides (it has a lot of collectibles). If you’re already starting with the game you can progress normally and then switch to collectible guide when it’s up, we’ll have it covered by area and by type as usual, and you can go back to all areas.

creating a Backup, sell everything you have and check if its enough.

If you did an 100% run on your first Playthrough then on NG+ you get around 3900 Amber for every Collectible you already have (Swords,Armor, recipe Books,Kuu Skill Stones from Elite Enemies….etc)

You could also equip Kuu a Bracelet that increases Ember Droprate

I did 100% Collectibles on my first Playthrough and just got barely enough by selling everything around 2/3 into NG+

    Thanks for the guide.

You need so much points and amber to upgrade everything. Thank god for the save/refresh thing. Probably would have been a looong grind without that trick.

Also, not that it matter that much, but I was trying to do this fast and with a guide and I ended up around 40 hour mark. So 30 hour is maybe a little low estimate.

    Thanks again

You said you need between 500.000 and 600.000 amber to upgrade all arrows, bolts, bow and crossbow.

If i counted it correctly you need more than 800.000 amber.

I believe the latest patch has made the platinum unobtainable for some. One or more of the elite golems in the Fuji Frontier Zone will not spawn. Also, the first Nue encounter auto-completes itself therefore blocking you from obtaining the associated skills. I hope this can be fixed ASAP!

The skills unlocked for me in the cleanse walker after the final Nue encounter that zone. You’re right about the others, though. The malefact in the northern swamp of Mastsukawa didn’t spawn and the elite golem and malefact in Fuji were bugged for me.

Thank you for the guide! A small suggestion, I think the skill section needs a better explanation. Also, the amount of amber neede to fully upgrade the long range weapons an bolts/arrows is considerably underestimated. Its easily over 700k

2 elite golems & a elite Malefact are not spawning en the 30 golem trophy is also not popping for me.
