Pokemon Sword & Shield – Shiny Stone Location

November 20, 2019 by PowerPyx 18 Comments

Shiny Stone is an evolution item in Pokemon Sword & Shield, combining it with certain Pokemon allows them to evolve. This guide shows where to find Shiny Stone Location in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Shiny Stone Location #1:

  • Shiny Stone is located in Lake of Outrage (Wild Area). It’s in the north-west of the Wild Area. There’s a big rock circle there. Behind each rock you find a different type of Evolution Stone, one of them is the Shiny Stone. You must first unlock the water bike (automatically on Route 9) to reach Lake of Outrage. Drive through the water that blocks off this area.

Shiny Stone Location #2:

  • A second Shiny Stone is found on Route 8. There’s a ladder on the right side of Doctor Joanna, go up that ladder and a path on the right will lead to the Shiny Stone item pickup.

Shiny Stone Location #3:

  • The following Pokemon have a 5% Chance to hold a Shiny Stone when you catch them: Clefairy, Clefable, Lunatone. This is repeatable and you can catch them over and over again to farm more Shiny Stones (takes an average 20 catches to get one that’s holding a Shiny Stone).

Shiny Stone Evolutions:

In Sword & Shield you use Shiny Stone to evolve the following Pokemon:

  • Roselia > Roserade
  • Minccino > Cinccino
  • Togetic > Togekiss

Other Evolution Stones:

  • Dawn Stone
  • Dusk Stone
  • Fire Stone
  • Leaf Stone
  • Ice Stone
  • Moon Stone
  • Shiny Stone
  • Sun Stone
  • Thunder Stone
  • Water Stone
  • Razor Claw
  • Tart Apple
  • Sweet Apple
  • Cracked Pot
  • Reaper Cloth
  • Protector
  • Sachet
  • Whipped Dream
  • Metal Coat
  • Prism Scale

You can also get them from the non-stamina focused digger from the digging duo, you can still reach them as soon as you enter the wild area, you just have to dodge all the ‘strong looking’ Pokemon on the way
