The Dragon Scale in Pokemon Sword & Shield is used to evolve Seadra to Kingdra. This guide shows where to find the Dragon Scale Location in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Dragon Scale Location:
- You find “Dragon Scale” in the Isle of Armor DLC Expansion, in the area called Honeycalm Sea. Drive your bike out on the water and look for a little island in the north-east (top right) corner of Honeycalm sea. On that island is a red Pokeball, pick it up to get the Dragon Scale.
- Horsea and Seadra also have a 5% Chance of holding this item when you catch them. So you can farm Dragon Scales infinitely by catching these Pokemon over and over again.
- Dragon Scale can also be crafted by putting 4 Dragon Fangs into the Cram-o-Matic machine.
- Dragon Scale can sometimes be found from the sparkling item pickups on Honeycalm Island (this is random).
Dragon Scale Usage:
The only use of Dragon Scale is to evolve Seadra to Kingdra. You must equip Seadra with this item and then trade it to another player (locally or via internet) to trigger the evolution immediately. So there are two requirements, Seadra must hold a Dragon Scale and secondly it must be traded. It’s one of the more secret evolutions in the game.
