Lost Judgment Squirrel Search Locations (Bad Fur Day Guide)

Lost Judgment has 56 Squirrel Search Locations (Collectibles) for the Bad Fur Day trophy or achievement. This guide shows you where to find all of them.

Located around both Kamurocho and Ijincho there is graffiti of squirrels doing actions related to your detective gadgets. You can already inspect them in the early game to get them marked on the map, but you aren’t able to actually interact with them until you complete a Side Case that introduces to you how they work. This Side Case is called “Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun” – directly in front of Seiryo High School by talking to girl looking at the squirrel on the wall. See the image below for the starting point:

This Side Case makes you pick up the first squirrel near the school. After completing it you can go around the map finding the rest of the squirrels and gaining the rewards from them. Some locations have multiple squirrels that lead together.

None of the squirrels are missable, they all can still be obtained in free roam after the main story.

The final squirrel becomes available in a new Side Case that appears after you have found the other 55. It is called “Big Squirrels Don’t Cry” and is located in Fukutoku Park. Complete this Side Case to find the final squirrel and earn the trophy/achievement Bad Fur Day.

When you complete all School Stories you obtain an item that helps to find where the squirrels are located when you are near them, similar to the QR code finder in the first game. This isn’t necessary to find them though, though can follow the guide and find all the squirrels before finishing the School Stories.

Ijincho

There are currently 28 squirrel locations in Ijincho. They are listed by map area in the order the areas are listed in the taxi menu.

Seiryo High School

Squirrel #1: Picked up during Side Case “Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun”, which introduces you to how Squirrels work and makes the rest of them available for collection. This Side Case is directly in front of Seiryo High School, talk to girl looking at the squirrel on the wall.

Hamakita Park

Squirrel #2: South of Hama Wagon Cafe – On the corner of the building
Reward: Hug Bomb Beta

Pull out the Noise Amp and walk around the back of the building to find the second squirrel on the wall between the windows.

The squirrel is pointing up, so pull out your drone and fly it up towards the edge of the rooftop where there will be an item pickup (hard to see against the white roof) which will award a Hug Bomb Beta.

Squirrel #3: Middle of Hamakita Park – On a tree directly north of the pedestrian bridge crossing Hamakita Park Ave.
Reward: Extract Recipe: Savage Slam

Bring out your dog, then let it lead you to the next tree to the west to find Extract Recipe: Savage Slam.

Squirrel #4: East end off Hamakita Park – In the fountain
Reward: Extract Recipe: Lubrication Tactic

Pull out your detector and turn to the immediate left to inspect the flower pot to find Extract Recipe: Lubrication Tactic.

Chinatown

Squirrel #5: Inside Hotel Grande Blu Morino (Large building East edge of map) – On a wall south side of the courtyard
Reward: Motivator Shirt SSS

Pull out the Noise Amp and turn around to look at the tree in the courtyard, inspect it to obtain Motivator Shirt SSS.

Squirrel #6: East corner of Chinatown – On the ceiling of the pagoda
Reward: Grip Booster

Pull out your detector, then inspect the statue to the right to obtain Grip Booster equipment.

East Jinnai Station

Squirrel #7: North of la chatte blanche – Lower walkway beside the road
Reward: My Own Style record

Pull out your Detector and move closer to the road, looking at the hole in the tree to obtain the My Own Style record.

Squirrel #8: Carriage Hwy. Parking Lot Taxi Stop – On the wall directly behind the taxi
Reward: Silver Plate

Call the dog, then let it lead you over near the gate in the building to find a Silver Plate.

Squirrel #9: Daikokuten St. North of Coming Boon – On some tiles at the end of the crosswalk
Reward: Extract Recipe: Super Grip

Call your dog, then let it lead you across the street to find Extract Recipe: Super Grip.

Squirrel #10: East Jinnai Station – North wall of the station outside
Reward: Attack and Defense Booster 1 accessory

Pull out the Noise Amp and turn around, then spot the squirrel beside the staircase on the building across the road.

Then, pull out the Detector and look into the top right corner of the glass case to the right of the stairwell.

Finally, call the dog and have it lead you east in the parking lot to find Attack & Defense Booster 1 accessory.

North Jinnai Station

Squirrel #11: South of MIRAI Batting Center – Sitting on the ground right on the edge of the path, partially in the water
Reward: Bust Amulet

Bring out your dog, then let it lead you south along the path to the end of the railing to find a Bust Amulet.

Jinnai Station

Squirrel #12: W Bayside St. – On the wall directly north of Poppo (Jinnai Station Exterior)
Reward: Extract Recipe: Tree Trunk Legs

Pull out your Noise Amp, then look up on the wall to the right to find squirrel two.

Then take out your Drone and fly it up to the right where the squirrel is pointing to obtain Extract Recipe: Tree Trunk Legs.

Squirrel #13: West Jinnai Station – Southwest corner of the building on a round pillar
Reward: Gold Plate

Pull out your Detector, then move two pillars north and one west then look at the top to find a Gold Plate.

West Jinnai Station

Squirrel #14: Le Nouveau hama – Inside on a painting
Reward: EX-4

Pull out your Detector, then inspect the flowers on the right side of the counter to obtain EX-4.

Isezaki Road

Squirrel #15: Wette Kitchen (Isezaki Rd.) – Inside the mouth of the dinosaur on the sign outside
Reward: Skill Book: White Snake Analects

Pull out your Noise Amp, then inspect the tail of the dinosaur to find Skill Book: White Snake Analects.

Squirrel #16: Plage – Inside 1st floor, on the wall opposite the front desk
Reward: Camo Paint (Brown)

Pull out the Detector, then aim it at the pillow on the couch seat in the corner to obtain Camo Paint (Brown).

Squirrel #17: Ijin St. – Opposite You Tian on the wall
Reward: Play Pass

Call your dog, then let it walk you across the road by the staircase with the trash under it to find a Play Pass.

Squirrel #18: Hyakkei Alley – On the south wall in the covered area
Reward: Elegant Paint

Pull out your Detector, then follow it west out of the alley and immediately turn south to the UMIGAME TEI sign above the blocked off stairs.

Then take out your Drone and fly it down the stairs to grab Elegant Paint.

Squirrel #19: Welcome Pharmacy – Go inside then turn right, on the wall in the corner
Reward: Skill Book: Flux Fissure Redux

Pull out your Noise Amp, then turn right and go to the far corner to find Skill Book: Flux Fissure Redux.

Koreatown

Squirrel #20: Poppo (Tsurukame Hwy.) – Inside the store to the right of the counter
Reward: Floral Paint

Pull out your Detector, then check the drink cans in the opposite corner of the store to find Floral Paint.

Bar District

Squirrel #21: Survive Bar – Outside wall in the empty lot
Reward: Miracle Darts

Pull out the Noise Amp and turn around, checking the base of the tree directly behind you to get the Ribbon for Futaba, which she comes up to you and trades for Miracle Darts.

Squirrel #22: Bar District – South of taxi stop in the narrow alley
Reward: Red Pyroxene

Pull out your Noise Amp, then follow it further into the alley.

Next, pull out your Detector and follow it out of the alley, then inspect the leftmost rack of clothes to find a Red Pyroxene.

Squirrel #23: North of Ichiban Confections – West wall of parking lot area
Reward: Dog Food

Pull out your Detector, then look to the right up on the second-floor wall of the white building to find the second squirrel.

Then pull out your drone, and check the rooftop directly below the second squirrel to find Dog Food.

Red Light District

Commercial District

Squirrel #24: Yokohama 99 – Directly outside the entrance
Reward: Nine Gates Tile

Pull out your Detector, then follow it slightly south down the street to check the bush where you find some shoes, that you will trade to Futaba for a Nine Gates Tile.

Squirrel #25: Central Street – South of Yokohama 99 Entrance on the opposite side of the street
Reward: Striped Paint

Take out your Noise Amp, and follow it south down the street to the next power pole to find squirrel two.

Then take out your Detector and keep moving south to another power pole with squirrel three.

Finally, take out your drone and fly it up to the top of the light post to find Striped Paint.

Squirrel #26: Central Street – South end in the parking lot on the fence
Reward: Skill Book Showa Duels: Water

Bring out your Dog, then follow it near the covered area of the building to find the Skill Book Showa Duels: Water.

Squirrel #27: Onodera’s Wares – In the bathroom building opposite
Reward: Rainbow Pyroxene

Pull out your Noise Amp, then follow it near the entrance gate to the homeless camp to find squirrel 2.

Then pull out your Detector and follow it to the dead-end of the camp, inspecting the pile of tires on the right to find a Rainbox Pyroxene.

Squirrel #28: Sunrise Street – South of Ichiban Confections, top of the stairs by the river
Reward: Skill Book: Book of the Slithering Snake Vol. 2.

Pull out your Detector, and follow it down the stairs to find squirrel two on the wall.

Then pull out your Noise Amp, and look to the right to see squirrel three on the bridge post.

Finally, pull out your drone, and fly it up to the top of the light post to obtain Skill Book: Book of the Slithering Snake Vol. 2.

Seiryo High School

Squirrel #29: Seiryo High School – Southern entrance leading to Kinka Bridge
Reward: Skill Book: Book of the Ardent

Pull out your Noise Amp, then turn around from squirrel one to spot squirrel two on the bridge pillar.

You can then fly your drone out to the bridge pillar, where you can pick up Skill Book: Book of the Ardent from the bottom of the pillar.

Kamurocho

There are 26 squirrel locations in Kamurocho. As the map isn’t divided into regions like Ijincho they are listed mostly from the north of the map to the south of the map.

Squirrel #30: Hotel District – South side of the road on the wall by Hotel Volescia sign
Reward: EX Enhancement Belt

Pull out your Noise Amp, then follow it through the narrow gap to the back of the building, then inspect the light on the wall to find an EX Enhancement Belt.

Squirrel #31: Hotel District – East end of the road on the tall wall
Reward: Cute Paint

Pull out your Detector, then follow it slightly south and look up on the wall of the building to the west to find squirrel two.

Then take out your Drone and fly it below squirrel two to find Cute Paint.

Squirrel #32: Yoshida Batting Center – Inside on the south wall
Reward: Bronze Plate

Pull out your Detector, then follow it down the hallway beside the batting cages. Near the end, look down to the right where you can find a small squirrel two beside a trash can.

Then pull out your Noise Amp, and follow it out the back of the Batting Center and inspect the vent on the left wall to find a Bronze Plate.

Squirrel #33: Poppo (W Shichifuku St.) – East wall outside, to the right of the sign
Reward: Training Innerwear

Pull out your Noise Amp, then look to the right on the next building to find squirrel two beneath the Hajime Tax & Consulting sign.

Then take out your Drone, and fly it to the top of the sign to obtain Training Innerwear.

Squirrel #34: Shichifuku St. – Inside wall of Men’s Entertainment Box building

Pull out your Detector, then follow it out of the store and across the street, Inspect the end of the shrub to find Skill Book Show Duel Records: Wind.

Squirrel #35: NW Theater Square Road  – Building opposite Smile Burger, in the window with the snowy decorations
Reward: Skill Book: The Walkin’, Talkin’ Hermit

Pull out your detector, then turn around and inspect the lantern above the vending machine in front of Smile Burger to obtain Skill Book: The Walkin’, Talkin’ Hermit.

Squirrel #36: North Theater Ave. – Wall of building east of Club SEGA (Theater Square)
Reward: Colorful Paint

Bring out your dog, then let it lead you a short distance south to find Colorful Paint.

Squirrel #37: Game Center Charles – Just inside the entrance on the wall to the right
Reward: Woody Pop Master System Cartridge

Pull out your Detector, and follow it back outside Charles. Inspect the bottom red lantern beside the door to find the Woody Pop Master System Cartridge.

Squirrel #38: Park Blvd – Gate leading into Kamurocho Hills, just north of Game Center Charles
Reward: Platinum Plate

Pull out your Noise Amp, then turn and look up at the top of the tree to the left to obtain a Platinum Plate.

Squirrel #39: E Shichifuku St. – On parking meter inside the parking lot
Reward: Camo Paint (Green)

Pull out your Detector, then follow it to the right around the white sign to find squirrel two.

Then pull out your Drone, then fly it up to the corner of the large billboard to find Camo Paint (Green).

Squirrel #40: Kanrai – Inside the restaurant on a wall to the right of the waiter
Reward: Natural Paint

Pull out your Noise Amp, then check the table in the opposite corner of the room to find Natural Paint.

Squirrel #41: N Senryo Ave. – Wall of small alley opposite entrance to Champion District
Reward: Blue Pyroxene

Take out your Noise Amp and follow it further into the alley, then inspect the vent to find a Blue Pyroxene.

Squirrel #42: Champion District – Wall of shop coming in from the west entrance
Reward: Battle Innerwear SS

Take out your Noise Amp, and follow it clockwise around the area to find squirrel 2 on the wall by a white box.

Now take out your Detector and follow it south down the middle road. Halfway down, turn right to look into a stairwell with squirrel three.

Now call your dog, and follow it south to the corner of the shops to find Battle Innerwear SS.

Squirrel #43: Theater Square – On the ground directly east of the hangout spot
Reward: Camo Paint (Blue)

Pull out your Noise Amp, then inspect the SEGA logo under the white CLUB SEGA sign to find Camo Paint (Blue).

Squirrel #44: Kamuro Theater Garden – Top floor behind a waterfall on the north wall
Reward: Extract Recipe: Versatility

Take out your Detector, then inspect the vines on the wall just to the southwest to find Extract Recipe: Versatility.

Squirrel #45: Kamuro Theater/Millennium Tower – Bottom floor elevator spot
Reward: Eye of the Dragon

Pull out your Detector, then follow it back out into the Millenium Tower lobby. Look up to the round vents on the next floor to find an Eye of the Dragon.

Squirrel #46: Taihei Blvd. – South of the entrance to Millenium Tower on the green power box

Pull out your Detector, then follow it up the first set of steps towers Millenium Tower. Look at the top of the signpost to find Anime Paint.

Bring your dog out, then let it lead you just north up the street to a light post to find Skill Book: Unofficial VR Strategy Guide 2021 [True].

Squirrel #48: Taihei Blvd – Building directly south of Ringer Hut, in the small hallway on the corner of the building

Take out your Noise Amp and follow it west along the building, then inspect the lamp post to obtain Dragon Paint.

Squirrel #49: E Taihai Blvd. – South of the hangout spot, on the restaurant sign that looks like a large shrimp
Reward: Battle Support SS

Pull out your Noise Amp and follow it south down the road, then inspect the open locker on the left to find Battle Support SS.

Squirrel #50: Tankaichi Alley – Northwest side on the green building
Reward: Contacts of Supreme Worldly Desires

Bring out your dog, then follow it into the playground area to find Contacts of Supreme Worldly Desires.

Squirrel #51: Cafe Alps – Inside on a mural opposite the entrance
Reward: Free Pass Voucher 2

Go into the back room and bring out your Detector, then inspect the exit sign to find squirrel two.

Next, go into the back alley and bring out your Noise Amp, then inspect the AC unit to the left to obtain Free pass Voucher 2.

Squirrel #52: East of Yagami Detective Agency – Southside of the alley on a pillar
Reward: Checkered Paint

Pull out your Noise Amp and look on the floor directly above to find squirrel two.

Then bring out your drone and fly it up to the balcony to find Checkered Paint.

Squirrel #53: Ebisu Pawn – Opposite side of the alley in the covered area on the ground
Reward: inharmonic record

Pull out your Noise Amp and turn around to spot squirrel two on a metal box in the alley across the street.

Then take out your dog and follow it down the alley to find the inharmonic record.

Squirrel #54: Tenkaichi St. – South end on a manhole cover underneath the large red sign
Reward: Guard Shirt S

Bring out your dog, then let it lead you a short distance north to find Guard Shirt S.

Squirrel #55: W Showa St.- Wall of the smoking shelter outside Sushi Gin
Reward: Yellow Pyroxene

Take out your Noise Amp and follow it out of the shelter and inspect the gap between the two buildings with the pile of yellow crates to find a Yellow Pyroxene.

The Final Squirrel

Squirrel #56: After you have found the other 55 squirrels there will be a new Side Case icon in Fukutoku Park in Ijincho.

Come here to start the Side Case “Big Squirrels Don’t Cry”, which when completed finds the final squirrel and awards the Bad Fur Day trophy/achievement.
