Lost Judgment Chapter 3 Walkthrough

October 2, 2021 by Gage Leave a Comment

This Lost Judgment walkthrough will guide you through all the main choices of Chapter 3 for 100% completion.

Chapter 3 Walkthrough

New Detective Tools

After the scenes at the start of the chapter, you will need to head back to Yokohama 99 to speak with Tsukumo. When you arrive he’ll explain Buzz Researcher to you, which allows you to search the social network app Chatter for local instances of specific keywords. You’ll need to search the keyword “arachnid man” to find a suspicious spot on the northwest side of the city to check out. Mark the location for yourself then head over there.

When you arrive you’ll gain access to another new tool, the Noise Amp. This allows you to listen to specific sounds near you to look for clues. Pull it out and look above at the apartment building to spot a man hanging from the windows.

Climb up the pipes to the top to give him a hand.

When on the ground level you will question him on why he was up there. It doesn’t matter what order you go through the options in, you need to go through all of them to get the info out of him. He seems quite suspicious, so you should then inspect the pink item hanging out of his back pocket.

You don’t like what you find, and you’ll need to put him down to have him arrested. After that is complete you will need to head back to Yokohama 99 again. Tsukumo tells you a bit more about finding keywords for Buzz Researcher and about the request board in the office where you can find some specific Side Cases as the story progresses.

The Handyman

You’ll now need to head to the restaurant Plage to meet up with Sawa-sensei, but before you can go inside you are stopped by a number of unknown assailants in white masks. They are all wielding weapons, so be aware that you can disarm them if you feel the weapons are doing too much damage. There are also a number of items around the area you can pick up yourself to smack them with if needed.

After defeating them you will be inspecting a photo of Mikoshiba right before he was murdered. The areas in the photo you need to inspect are both arms, his tie, his face, and the rubble to the right of him.

When leaving the restaurant you’ll now fight Jin Kuwana, the actual first boss of the game for real this time.

Kuwana is the first real unique enemy you will face during the story, with a totally unique moveset that’s more involved than just trying to smack you like prior enemies. The major thing to watch for during this first fight is after you do a bit of damage a cutscene triggers where he jumps over one of Yagami’s attacks, and then starts doing moves where he counters your attacks then jumps and kicks you from above.

The general way to avoid this is either don’t attack him when he’s guarding, or try to dodge to the side when he is in the air. Remember there is still a large amount of furniture outside the restaurant, so you can get some EX actions in with the furniture to deal some major damage.  Once you take down his first yellow health bar he’ll charge up, then will start performing deadly attacks on you that you should make sure to mortal reversal.

Keep beating on him until you take out his other health bar. Charged Tiger stance attacks work well because they break his guard then do good damage when comboed together.

After the fight, you’ll run into Sugiura and Kaito, who explains that Sugiura knows Kuwana and Yagami shouldn’t be fighting with him. They all go off together for drinks, while Yagami is heading back to Yokohama 99.

Drinking Extracts

On the way back Yagami runs into a man harassing a familiar face from the first game, Iyama the Hermit. You get a free Warrior’s Onslaught extract to fight the man with, showing off how powerful they can be (the Warrior’s Onslaught one is the most busted one in the game, very cheesy on Legend difficulty).

After chasing away the attacker you automatically go to Iyama’s new shop over in the Chinatown area and he tells you more about extracts, along with giving you some materials to make another. Once you’re finished you can return to Yokohama 99 and speak to Tsukumo to complete the chapter.
