Monster Hunter Iceborne All Bone Locations List

September 5, 2019 by PowerPyx 17 Comments

The Monster Hunter World Iceborne Expansion adds many new bone locations. This guide contains a list of all bones found from bone piles in the Iceborne DLC (Master Rank difficulty).

These bone piles are found in the open world and can be used for crafting new weapons, armor and upgrades. Each bone piles gives you 3 bones. Every map has specific types of bones tied to it. Every bone pile can give you any of the available bones on that map. To search a bone pile, press :o: or :b: . You can do this 3 times in a row for more bones.

This is what a bone pile looks like:

I think they can come randomly from quest rewards too. But Brute Tigrex is the only monster that lists it as a dropped monster part and is the reliable way to farm it repeatedly.

I’ve found it Pyx, Acidic glavenus can drop solidbones too! And you can even get it from tailrider safaris if you go after it.

Interesting, it’s not listed under the Acidic Glavenus rewards in monster field guide (after fully researching it). I think it may have been a quest reward or random reward or Palico found it somewhere.
Tailraider Safaris are definitely a good tip, they can bring home all sorts of stuff. Will add that as an alternative. Thank you for the feedback, helps a lot =)

Guide is helpful, just didn’t help me. Looking for a bone to upgrade the Empress Cane Styx, and absolutely cannot find it anywhere.

Do you know which bone it needs or does it shows as “???” in the crafting list?
I’m currently working on Borderlands 3 but will try to get it a look after that.

Its called “Elder Spiritvein Bone”… should be dropped by tempered elder dragons in guiding lands i guess (Rank 7 required)

Bone shows as a ???, but if it helps the picture color is a purple, like the Elder Dragon bones.

Dragonvein solidbones are shiny drops dropped by certain large monsters in the guiding lands.
