Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced has 15 Naval Contract Locations. Naval Contracts are little naval combat side quests where you destroy enemy ships. To make them appear on the map you’ll need to start out with the one called “A Spanish Plague” from the NPC next to the harbourmaster in Great Inagua. This is available after Sequence 04 – Mission 01: This Old Cove. They get revealed on the map when synchronizing the viewpoints.
Nothing is missable, you can still go everywhere after the story. You can see if an island has a Naval Contract when scrolling over it on the map. You can also press
(PS5) /
on the map to filter for Naval Contracts specifically. They reward you with money.

Destroy the medium ship with a Mortar for the extra Reales but keep the small ship around and board it when you need to heal the Jackdaw. To get the bonus Reales you will need to sink the Frigate with a Mortar shot. The Frigate is the medium sized ship. Once all three ships have been sunk you will complete this contract.

Naval Contract #15 – Hunter Gatherer
Accept the mission from the man on the dock where you dock the Jackdaw. This mission will want you to sink the hunter ships. In order to get Hunter Ships to appear you must first raise your wanted level to at least a 1 Wanted Level. Once at that level these ships will come find you and this can happen anywhere. The Hunter Ships will be shown with red sails and a pirate icon on them. The bonus mission wants you to sink one of the 2 Hunter Ships required to complete this mission using a Mortar Shot. To do this use
to aim and
to shoot when the ship has the Board option.
That’s all of the Naval Contracts in AC IV Black Flag (2026 Remake). For all other collectible types refer to the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced Collectible Guide.

Couga says
If I’m understanding this correctly, those aren’t relevant to any trophy, right?
The thing is, I’m having a problem where #15 Hunter Gatherers seems to be buggy for me. I’ve already sunk dozens of pirate hunters since I got the quest, but it’s not marked as completed. When I track it, I don’t see quest objectives anymore either.
