In Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced, you can craft upgrades from the inventory screen. The upgrades let you carry more ammo and increase your maximum health. This will require you to hunt down animals for their skins.
Once you unlock Great Inagua (Story Sequence 04) and buy the Tavern and Harbormaster, it’s heavily recommended to buy the Fisherman’s Wharf for 5000 reales to be able to harvest 2 skins from harpooning instead of 1. The extra skins you can get can also be sold for money if you need it. You’ll need to upgrade your harpooning equipment at the harbmourmaster to take on the harder harpooning spots.
