Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced has 41 Art Collection: Art Pieces Locations. All of them are needed to fill the Art Collection slots in Great Inagua Manor for the Dilettante trophy & achievement. You can view them under Codex > Database > Art Collection: Art Pieces.
They are obtained in 3 ways: 16 are found as collectibles in the world, 6 are bought at the general store for money, 19 are random rewards from sending Brigs on Piracy Missions in Kenway’s Fleet (use Fleet Planning table in Great Inagua manor or your ship’s cabin).
The random ones from Kenway’s Fleet are entirely luck-dependent. You should start working on these from the start. After Sequence 04 – Mission 01: This Old Cove you gain access to the Fleet Planning table. Then board Brigs (medium-sized ships with Ram at front) and add them to your fleet. Conquer Forts to open up the sea map. Then send 5 Brigs on Piracy missions simultaneously (one per region). You can also make a manual save before accepting the fleet report, if your next set of missions doesn’t show an Art Piece in the rewards you reload the save to roll new missions. This way you are always guaranteed at least 1 Art Piece per cycle. You can tell if a Piracy mission gives an Art Piece because it will be displayed in the rewards with a little icon and a value of “1”:
For
Dilettante to decorate the manor, you need all 41 Art Pieces (which include table decorations, cabinet decorations, furniture), 9 Paintings, 20 Ship Models, 11 Portraits. They are listed here in Codex order.

General Store Decorations (6 Art Pieces):
The following 6 Art Pieces can be bought from any General Store (all stores share the same inventory):
- Seated Zemi Figure (2400 Reales)
- Pectoral Disk (2100 Reales)
- Jar with Ritual Scene (1750 Reales)
- Taíno Bust (1300 Reales)
- Eagle Figurine (1000 Reales)
- Bat-Nosed Figurine (500 Reales)
Fleet Rewards (19 Art Pieces):
The following 19 Art Pieces are RANDOM rewards from sending Brigs onto missions in the Fleet Planning room at Great Inagua manor or in your ship’s cabin. First, you should board 5 Brigs and add them to your fleet (preferably in the southern hard difficulty regions because they have more health). Only Brig Piracy missions give Art Pieces, other types of ships don’t give them. Make sure you conquered at least one Fort in each region to open up the Fleet Map. Upgrade the buildings at Great Inagua to get more ship berths. Then run 5 Brig Missions at the same time, one per region. Wait 60 minutes for all of them to finish. Make a manual save (press Touchpad in Map menu) BEFORE accepting the Fleet report > accept report > if you don’t get a mission that gives an Art Piece reload save and repeat. You can tell if a Piracy mission gives an Art Piece because it will be displayed in the rewards with a little icon and a value of “1”:
The save reload lets you roll a new set of missions every time. If you get at least one mission with an Art piece then run all 5 Brig missions again for an hour and repeat the cycle until you have all random Art Pieces. Additionally, run 5 Schooners to make money for repairs. Frigates only reduce the cooldown on Warehouses, Man-o-War lowers the region risk but it’ll immediately go up again from your Brigs.
So ideally run 5 Brigs + 5 Schooners (the Schooners only give money, not Art Pieces). This will take a minimum of 19 hours real time. You can stand idle and it’ll advance time, but it won’t advance while in the map screen or other menus. When you only have 5 or fewer pieces left the chances become extremely low. Sometimes it took me 15 save reloads to get a single Art Piece (1 in 75 missions or 1.3% chance). Without the save reload this could take 100+ hours depending on luck.
Below they are listed in the order that I personally got them and the region/mission name that gave them, but they can drop in any order and seemingly from any mission, which is why you always want to run all 5 Brigs.
- British Silver Teapot – Brig Piracy
- Trumpet – Brig Piracy (Northeast – A Pound of Gold)
- Scherer’s 1700 Globe – Brig Piracy (Northwest – Lively Havana)
- Drum – Brig Piracy (West – Sneaky Traders)
- Parade Helmet a l’Antique – Brig Piracy (Southwest – Good Deeds)
- Joined Armchair with Cushion – Brig Piracy (Northwest – Sail North)
- Kast Cupboard – Brig Piracy (Southeast – Helping Hand)
- Commode – Brig Piracy (Southwest – Treacherous Isles)
- Head of an Oba – Brig Piracy (Northeast – Trespassers)
- Wooden Term Statue of St. Adrian – Brig Piracy (West – Heavy Burden)
- Mirror Back – Brig Piracy (Southwest – Easy Profit)
