Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Resynced How to Skip Time

In Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced (2026 Remake) you can advance time, but the game never tells you about it.

To skip time hold D-Pad Right .

Make sure you are standing still and not in combat or a restricted area. It works best while standing at beaches or on the ground in open areas with enough space.

If it shows a warning “Unable to Skip Time right now”, it’s because you are moving, standing in a location where the feature doesn’t work, are in combat or a restricted area. The game is a bit inconsistent with where it lets you skip time, hence open areas like beaches work most reliably. If NPCs and enemies are nearby it often doesn’t work.

Note that it only changes between daytime and night time but you can’t select the exact hour you want to skip to. It also does not speed up the accumulation of money in your manor’s chest, nor does it shorten the cooldown of Kenway’s Fleet missions. If you want to change weather, try fast traveling back and forth between different islands.

The game is quite dark at night and when it’s raining, so changing to daytime can be quite useful while looking for collectibles.
