Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Deal with the Pillagers Side Mission Walkthrough

Deal with the Pillagers is a Side Mission in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.

Quest Location – Deal with the Pillagers

This side mission starts in Kuwaq Yaku and will probably be the first side mission you will run across during your playthrough. Talking to a NPC at the bar will reveal the side mission on your map. On your way toward your main objective you will witness a male NPC being pushed down some stairs. Talking to him will start the mission.

Objectives: Talk to Omar / Talk to Marco

The NPC will tell you about people being forced into labor by a group of pillagers. The first 2 objectives are straight forward. Head up the stairs to talk to Omar, followed by going back to the bar from the cutscene before in order to talk to Marco.

Objectives: Head to the edge of town / Enter the crypt worksite

Marco will tell you about his son being forced to do the labor for him since he was injured. In order to have his son released, Marco has to find someone to substitute him at the worksite. Lara, of course, accepts this job offer and heads toward the edge of the town where the worksite is located. On her way she meets Pablo, Marcos son, who looks really messed up because of the work he has to do. Lara promises Pablo to take care of the bad guys and she proceeds toward the worksite.

Objectives: Defeat the pillagers / Return to Marco

At the worksite you will have to defeat all the pillagers wandering in the area. You can take out the first section of the enemies stealthy without any problem. In the 2nd area you can also use stealth to kill the enemies or take them out the loud way, which won’t be a problem anyway due to the small number of the enemies. Once you have defeated all the enemies, head back to the bar to receive your reward from Marco. It will be a shiny new pistol which was used by his father when he still was a teenager. Lara accepts the reward and the mission is completed.
