Path of the Dead is the ninth Story Mission in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This walkthrough will guide you through the whole Path of the Dead mission.

Find another Way out of the Temple
Upon entering the first room since mission start, Lara automatically will interact with a Stele in front of her, learning the Eagle Talon skill. This kill can be tested out later in the mission.
Escape the Flooded Ruins
For now, our only way out this temple is to dive through it.
Use your instinct 
at all times. It will not only reveal the marker of your next checkpoints towards the end, but also air bubbles in yellow, predators in red and vegetation to hide from them in white.
If you get attacked by an eel, you can easily kill him by mashing 
, but piranhas are quite hard to shake off. Better not swim into their sight.
Once you see the grid-like structure as in the screenshot below, you can swim up entirely and will reach the surface again.
Return to Kuwaq Yaku
After resurfacing and swimming for a little bit longer, we finally can test the new Eagle Talon skill. To execute it, hold 
when an enemy is below you, while you are on a branch. Doing so five times will give you the 
Surprise!-trophy. Before you miss out on it, you’d better reload the checkpoint four times and have this one crossed off your list.
“Is this my life now?”
When continuing the path, Lara spots a heavily armed Trinity soldier in the distance, but he is attacked by something really fast and deadly. Hard to see, if it is more human or beast – but Lara better be watching out from now on.
Make your Way through the Hangar
Next, we will be in an area with about half a dozen enemies. Once again, it is advised to use your instinct to reveal if enemies are in their friends’ field of view (red) or on their own (yellow).
Pick off the yellow enemies one after another and you should be done in no-time. If you are still missing some combat-related trophies, this is another good encounter to get rid of pretty much all of them.
Once the area is clear, you can climb up on the exact opposite side of where you have entered the area.
Return to Kuwaq Yaku
Now, it is just a rather short walk back to the village.
Along the way, Lara finds some more killed Trinity soldiers, presumably by the strange thing she saw earlier.
There is also another camp on the way, already in sight of the entrance of the temple, where we left the village from.
Meet Jonah in the Ruins
This is also where we have to regroup with Jonah & Abby for now.
They will be waiting downstairs next to an opening in the wall.
Of course, Lara goes through it first.
And of course, a trap now locks the other two out and Lara has to continue on her own. A classic!
