Key Item: Kuro’s Charm
Item Description: Charm received from Kuro. Placed on the Wolf’s person in secret, after he lost his life in Hirata Estate and gained the power of Resurrection. The charm has protected the Wolf well, tempering his ordeals. To part with it would mean facing a path of hardship beyond that endured thus far.
Location:
- Start of the NG+ – This item is given to you at the very start of New Game+ while you are in the well.
Usage: In New Game+, give this item to Kuro in the Moon-view Tower, or to the Sculptor at Dilapidated Temple to make the game more difficult in the sense that blocking attacks will still damage you. You can receive it back from the Sculptor by talking to him again, thus reducing the difficulty.

I gave back Kuro’s charm, and I still have resurrections. The difference seems to be that, without the charm, you take chip damage when blocking, forcing you to have to deflect perfectly. I have not noticed any other difference.

It’s also available in regular NG after you’ve beaten the game at least once.
