End of the Line is the 74th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the End of the Line main mission.

- Quest Giver: Available automatically after completing the quest A Promise
- Requirement: Available immediately after completing the quest A Promise
- Recommended Level: 36
- Reward: 5500 EXP, 2 Mastery Points
- Quest Description: Akechi Mitsuhide betrayed his superior, Oda Nobunaga, as the mastermind behind the Honnoji incident.
Assassinate Nuno Caro
To track End of the Line, navigate to the Objectives Board. Scroll to the Templar group and select the quest in the Nuno Caro thumbnail.
Takeda Castle is located on the far left edge of the map in the Tamba region.
In order to progress this quest, you must continue it while playing as Yasuke.
When you arrive, fight your way through the castle until you reach the correct door.
You then get a couple of dialogue choices:
- [You underestimate me.]
- [Shut up.]
Followed by:
- [Let us duel.]
- [You will all die.]
Choose whichever ones you prefer.
Kill Nuno Caro’s men
Only four men fight you here, and they do not use complicated techniques or patterns. Dispatch them.
Chase Nuno Caro
Go to your left a bit and enter the tower. Then, climb your way up the building after Nuno Caro.
He sends enemies your way. The nice thing here is you can just run by everyone if you want.
Keep climbing to the top until you reach a room with a sole window.
Jump out of the window and cross the roof to the next tower.
There, you find a window to climb in.
Inside that tower, continue climbing upward until you reach Nuno Caro. By that point, all of the sentries following you stop coming after you.
Assassinate Nuno Caro
Nuno Caro is an absolute pushover, which makes this fight altogether satisfying. Enjoy it.
