Of My Enemy is the 49th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Of My Enemy main mission.

- Quest Giver: Available automatically after completing the quest Astray
- Requirement: Available immediately after completing the quest Astray
- Recommended Level: 26
- Reward: 1000 EXP
- Quest Description: To secure passage into Miki Castle undetected, Naoe and Yasuke must seek the favor of a deceitful merchant named Hiromichi.
Talk to Hiromichi’s man
You can track this quest using the Objectives Board. Scroll to the Shinbakufu and select the quest underneath The Ox (Bessho Harumasa).
This man stands around at the northwest corner of the Kakogawa Estuary. Talk to him.
Follow Hiromichi’s man
You can auto-follow him. Watch out for wandering ronins in this area. You may get attacked randomly. Just run away, and the man you’re following will continue to walk.
Meet Hiromichi
Walk into the house and speak with Hiromichi.
He presents you with a dialogue option:
- [You’re loyal to the Ox.]
- [You’re testing me.]
These options do not change quest progression or the story. Choose whichever you like better.
Kill the Ox’s lieutenant
Head southeast from Hiromichi to find Takasago Shrine.
Sneak into the house marked above to find a note, detailing the location of the Ox’s lieutenant.
The lieutenant is out in a ship off the shore.
Climb up the western side, using the ladder-like structure on the ship.
On this end of the ship is also a haystack. You can use this to hide a couple of bodies.
When safe, look up to see an open window. Climb up to it and go in. The lieutenant stands alone in there, facing away from you.
Take him out and then loot his body.
Report to Hiromichi
Head back and speak to Hiromichi.
He presents you with an option:
- [Thank you for your help.]
- [You only care about yourself.]
Then another option:
- [Give the manifest.]
- [Withhold the manifest.]
The first option changes nothing. For the second choice, you can choose to give Hiromichi the manifest or not. Either way, he walks away from your conversation and the quest finishes.
This finishes Of My Enemy in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
