The Rengakai is the 41st main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Rengakai main mission.

- Questboard Category: Shinbakufu > The Noble
- Quest Giver: Available automatically after completing the quests Lady of Whispers
- Requirement: Available immediately after completing the quests Lady of Whispers
- Recommended Level: 24
- Reward: 1000 EXP
- Quest Description: Rumors of an impending attack on Hashiba Hideyoshi’s allies have brought Naoe and Yasuke to Harima.
Meet the renga master
You can track this quest using the Objectives Board. Scroll to the Shinbakufu and select the quest underneath The Noble.
The easiest route to reach Himeji Castle to to start from Agamasaki and head east, using the route below.
The renga master is located in Hiemji by the bridge leading to Himeji Castle.
Follow the renga master
Follow the renga master into Himeji Castle. You can use auto-follow here. With that said, the renga master stops halfway there, which interrupts your auto-follow.
In the cutscene that follows, you get a dialogue choice:
- [Tell me what to do.]
- [I don’t work for you.]
The choice does not affect the path of the story. Choose whichever you prefer.
Another option soon follows:
- [Hideie is just a boy.]
- [Hideie plays an important role.]
Again, this choice does not affect anything.
Follow Ukita Hideie
Now you follow a young boy. You can use auto-follow here as well.
After a short cutscene, follow Ukita Hideie once again.
In the next cutscene, you face two dialogue choices:
- [Mitsuhide must die.]
- [Another fight between daimyo.]
And then:
- [I walk my own path.]
- [I serve the people of Harima.]
Kill the attackers
There are four enemies to fend off. Your circumstantial ally helps you quite a bit here. Take advantage of it if needed.
In the next cutscene, you get the choice to play as either Yasuke or Naoe. Choose whichever play style you prefer.
