The Lost Envoys is the 54th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Lost Envoys main mission.

- Requirement: Available immediately after completing the quest A Chance Encounter

- Reward: 1000 EXP
- Quest Description: Tsutsui Junkei’s group of peace envoys have gone missing. If they do not return, the stability of the region is in jeopardy.
Question the witnesses
To track The Lost Envoys, navigate to the Objectives Board. Scroll to the Shinbakufu group and select the quest underneath The Wise.
Mitsue is a small town in the Hidden River sub-region.
It can be found by following the road southeast from Kofukuji Temple in Nara Heartland.
Before speaking to the witnesses, consider changing to Yasuke. This is a one-on-one fight, and the upcoming enemy has a lot of armor
Go inside this building to find Kojiro. Speak to him
Defeat the Akiyama soldier
For the majority of the fight, the soldier treats this as a fist fight. When he gets low in health, he brings out a kanabo.
After the fight, you get a dialogue choice:
- [Lord Junkei gave his approval.]
- [I work for no one.]
The option changes nothing.
Rescue the Tsutsui envoys
Head east-by-southeast from Mitsue.
You eventually find Utano, a fully-hostile area.
From the entrance, you can walk around the outside to avoid a lot of attention.
Secure the area
When you reach the Iron Ore Storage just north of Utano, the objective changes.
Clear out the enemies around the Tsutsui envoy.
When all are felled, speak to the envoy.
Retrieve the invitation
Return to Uda. The Uda Matsuyama Castle is directly east from there.
You can do this one of two ways: blast through the castle with Yasuke or sneak in with Naoe.
Yasuke’s path is self-explanatory. You just need to get to this spot to get the invitation.
As Naoe, there’s a quick path to sneak to the invitation:
From the road leading to the entrance to Uda Matsuyama Castle, look north to see significant damage in the wall face. Climb up that damaged wall.
At the top of the wall, jump north to the building front of you. You see a swing point on a latter ahead of you. Use it to get across to the next wall.
The invitation is in the building just north of you.
Drop down and hide in the tall bush. Use this to dispatch any patrols you don’t want to worry about.
Sneak into the front door and take a left. There you find the invitation.
Meet Lady Ayako
Make your way back to Kasugataisha Shrine.
Lady Ayako stands outside the southwest corner of this shrine.
Follow Lady Ayako
She only leads you east away from other shrine-goers.
She presents you with a dialogue option:
- [You are not the shadow.]
- [I am unsure.]
These choices do not change anything.
This finishes The Lost Envoys in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
