Assassin's Creed Shadows All Kofun Locations

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has 10 Kofun locations. They are little dungeons with a legendary chest at the end.

On the map they are indicated by white question marks which turn into orange kofun icons when going near them. They reward you with knowledge points, XP, and legendary gear which scales to your current level. Some of them can only be completed as either Naoe or as Yasuke (he’s the male character unlocked after Act 1).

Some of them require using the grappling hook for which you must use Naoe. You can tell for which character a Kofun is meant by scrolling over it on the map and checking the reward, on the legendary piece it will show Naoe’s hood icon or Yasuke’s samurai helmet. If you get stuck you can change characters in the inventory by holding (PS5) / (Xbox).

All of them are still obtainable after the story in free-roam, nothing is missable.

Kofun #1: Old Kofun

Sub-Region: Izumi Coast

This Kofun can only be completed with Naoe because her grappling hook is needed to swing across some water sections. You’ll have to crawl through a gap, dive down into some water to find the passage through to another chamber, then complete grapple swings across water, one of which requires jumping from one grappling hook to another (which will unlock Hook, Line, And Swinger if not unlocked already).
